Nice job, sir!  I think that the side windows on yours came out better than mine, not to mention the gloss paint job.  Mine ended up with some nasty dust imbedded in random places.  Looks good from a distance, but not close up.  Yours, on the other hand, looks flawless.

Here's a shamless self-promotion/pic or two of mine:

True, a bit of a nasty kit to work with, but the finished result can be pretty sweet.

John,

Nice work on the Voyager.  I am anxious to see the finished photos.

WOW! I didn't know a kit of the Voyager existed!

Great job... both of you.

Wondering if they've got the "Pond Racer"...?

John, that is really good looking build.

Nice to see something a little different.

Here is the A-Model 1/72 Voyager completed, pictured against the sky and a blue backdrop with the supporting wire ps'd out.

I think there is a Pond Racer, in resin.  Don't remember who.

I whacked out some spinners from sprue, seen better but the props just don't look right in an air shot.  Could have moved the pitch top feathered on the front prop because the last parts after fuel was burned down enough were done with the front shut down and feathered.    That's for whoever of you builds the next one for the forum.

Mike, I filed out an oversized spot for those side windows and inset plexiglas, sanded it smooth and polished it, and then masked down to the window shapes.  Those clear parts in the kit were not very good, and it would be real hard to get them in flush with the fuselage.  Borrowed that method from the airliner types.

Looks good! You could dab some light blue paint and add some wires on the wingtip.

Is it wires, or weeds?  I watched the takeoff and was hoping there was no fuel to leak out there.  When the wings took the load and the tips lifted I'll bet I wasn't the only one that quit holding my breath.

Really great stuff.  I used Kristal Kleer on the side windows- bad idea.  It dried concave on a convex surface.  However, I'm not to the point where I can ruin a clear piece and trust myself to polish it back to clarity.

Still, some really nice work.  (That sucker is suprisingly large, no?)

Great build, John. Both the airplane and the pilot are historically significant subjects all in their own.
