My building on this project has kinda' stalled. I'm still working on panel lines and I started the cockpit - but I don't feel I've accomplished much on it lately.

Hey guys hows it going?
I'm just back to ask if anyone is building the 1/72 revell stuka?
As its the only kit I can readily get from my LHS at the moment and I want to know if its worth building?!!

I think I'm going to have this as purely an OOTB build an djust try and focus on my painting and weathering for now , but knowing me when I get my kit i will probably start adding details to the cockpitBig Smile [:D]

I'm not sure if this is the same kit but here is a review from modeling madness.

I have no problem with others joining in since we just barely got started but I guess that''s up to the GB moderator.

Now about these AM barrels, what scale are they?

I don't have any prob's with anyone joining at this stage of the game either (like razordws said - just up to the GB moderator).

I have the 1/72 Airfix Stuka, but I'm building the 1/48 Airfix version right now. My biggest complaints with both are that they have raised panel lines and the detail is a bit "chunky", they both also have raised rivet detail all over them (which may be good or bad to you - I think it's a bit different, therefore, a nice feature). Otherwise, just add a little TLC and they build into nice renditions of the Stuka.

well, i could say "not until i'm let in the GB", but that wouldn't be very nice would it?!Wink [;)]

here are a couple of links:

this will give you an idea as to quality vis a vis what else is out ther...

http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/schatton/sm3505.htm

and here's schatton's site...

http://www.modellbau-schatton.privat.t-online.de/assets/images/kanonen48.jpg

this guy actually sent me the items BEFORE i paid him, so please don't let me read here "oohh...where's my 10,000 bit encryption like Great Models" ...

yes, he should have a paypal account etc etc, but he is honest and the products are just awesome (i have the 20mm barrels in 1/35 for my half-track GB) and he desrves our custom.

Laters,

N

Probably in over our heads with too many other GB's!!!! Whistling [:-^]

Personally I am taking a break from groups builds at the moment and doing something fun!! Just for me Mischief [:-,]!!!

To put an image in your signature go to your profile and under the signature section post the pic just like you normally would. that means putting the URL of your image inbetween the [ img]your url[/img ] except without the spaces between the brackets(I have to put the spaces in or it would think I'm actually trying to post a picture). Hope this helps. If you need more help just ask.

Hey guys I finally got my Squadron goodies and pulled everything out yesterday! The going will be slow until I finish up my 1/48 Tamiya Lanc, but that's all masked awaiting the airbrush, so shouldn't be too much longer now! I just need to head to the store to grab the paint I need...

Which issue is that Suka_69? I went to their site an the JU87 isn't in their April 2005 issue (and I can't seem to find which it is).

Thanks, I'll have to check that one out. I have too many grey areas left over after reviewing my references.

Just ordered my Ju87B/R from greatmodels so I should have it in a week or so, I ordered the fujimi kit has anyone ever buit it? If its anything like the Ju87D variants it should be an excellent model, but I've heard they lack interior detail is this true?

Sorry stuka_69, I can't help you there - I have no experience with Fujimi kits at all (that I can recall anyway). But . . .

I do need to make a request to the group for cockpit images (gunner's and pilot's side). I'll post what I have, a few of these I scanned, the rest I swiped from the net. If anyone has anything additional (or better) I could sure use it. Thanks in advance.
