thanks! yes it is just one color dark green, thats all the instructions said. but then again this kit was real old so it was more than likely wrong, i didnt have time to verify any of the info. i just winged on several things. besides i was itching to try out my new airbrush compressor.

Here are some more, current pics of my build, as you can see it is coming along nicely and is nearly ready to paint! This aircraft will be painted in a desert camoflage consisting of light blue undersides, desert yellow surfaces with a olive green squiggle pattern on top!

Right after some long tedious work trying to get a host for these pics I have finally done and am ready to show you some of my progrees pics which I took several weeks ago!
All of these images are of my finished scratchbuilt cockpit and its detail.

This is some of my in work progress of the cockpit, and you can see all the detail that was put in it to make it as authentic as possible!
There is only the gear pedals which I did not add because they are completely invissible when it is all closed up!
ENJOY!!!

Very nice job Razor. Panel lines look real good. I am partial to that technique... I like the way it looks and you did a fine job.

Ok I'm going to try and get them posted out today or tomorrow so you can all see where I'm at!
As for my progress I've just replaced all the push rods on the flaps with some fine wire as I didn't like the solid plastic ones, I'm also just about to glue the wings together and mate the front nose section with the fuselage.
So its nearly all constructed all I would need to do is sort out the wheels and the bomb racks etc. and she'll be ready for painting!

My progress is coming along nicely, as all the fuselage is closed up and the seams sanded, and I'm just fixing up my wings before I glue them to the fuselage.

Hey razor that looks amzing wow, that wash and panel highlight really sets of all that detail excellent build and its good to see that your finished and keep an eye out because I have a stack of photos ready to show of my progress!

Boy... I had to dig to the bottom of page three to find this thread again. Here is my completed Academy 1/72 Stuka G-1. This is my first attempt at shading panel lines which I used pastels for. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the builds finished.

I agree with RAZORDW the decals in the academy kits are really bad, as they are very thick and do not confirm over anyhting even after using setting solutions!!!

Jay The Academy kits like every other manufacturer vary alot from kit to kit. This Stuka kit was pretty good in terms of detail and fit and the P-51 kit that I'm doing for the North Africa GB is amazing as well. Both have great interior detail and good engineering and parts fit. The TBF-1 kit that I just did for the Midway GB on the other hand wasn't so great. Got to read the reviews before you buy. The one thing that is consistent with Academy kits is that their decals suck. Am decals would be recommended.

Nice Stuka Dave, Thanks for pointing it out. How are the Academy Kits, I see them for pretty cheap and was wondering if I should attempt one or two some time. I know they're 1:72 but hey, it's good to challenge ones self once in a while.Smile [:)]
