I'm sure you meant May1, 2009 ? That could a big difference on participation!

jacob the real problem you have your entry. The He 219  Uhl was a night fighter not a bomber. On that thought a Nightfighter group build would be a cool idea though!

Which has to be the #1 wrong reason for starting a GB!  There are likely hundreds of dead GB's cluttering the GB forum which didn't get off the ground because the organizer's sole reason was a self-centered "I have one in the stash"!  Good GB's that succeed have a more solid reason for existing.

Given that there are a gajillion GB's in progress right now, it would be prudent to throw a feeler thread in aircraft forum to see if there is any interest.  It would also be prudent to have the start date later so participants can work this potential GB into their schedules.

As I recall there was a nightfighter GB within a recent time period, i.e. several months ago.  I'd also recommend searching for it and perusing it to see what worked and didn't work.

Good luck!

Building Now:

1/48 Academy Bf-109G6 - 100%

1/48 Tamiya F4U-1A - 5%

Upcoming:

1/48 Revell F-14D

Need an excuse for building a 219? Join the twin-engined fighters GB...

Well maybe, but let's help the guy who proposed the GB.

I've participated in around ten so far. I've completed half of those and will finish the rest.

A lot of people initially jump in, but don't ever come back.

I'd say the measure is in the rule. Look at the ones that work.

My favorites are:

Pearl Harbor 2008- the host responds alot and has a history line every week or so.

IJN/IJA- the host not only models faster than most, owns a bigger library and shares it with all, but also runs little trivia ? now and then.

Battle of Britain- if the tail number can't be verified, it can't be accepted.

Navy Air Wing- totally irreverent, the chat room for certain old types, and you've got to bring a story to sit by the barrel.

No one is better or worse than any or all; my point is they need a twist.
