Hi, just came back to modeling (havn't even built anything yet) and was wondering, without wanting to be offending, what is the "end goal" of a GB???

Thanks.

To finish the models.

Elaborate? K.

To finish the models while sharing comeradery and friendship and passing on knowledge, tips, skills and ideas that only a large group of like minded people can do. All the atributes of having a modeling club but with a focused interest and without having to leave your house.

Its just a way for us to get together from long distances, and build same same kind of thing.  Its about the fun of it, and friendship it entails.

Also, if it wernt for them, some of us would NEVER finish a build.

The best thing about group builds is what you can learn.  The tips you can get from people here with more experience can make you a better modeler.  Also the history lessons are hard to beat.  It also gives you a deadline without pushing too hard.

Haaa! Now I get it...

I tought you guys were doing some kind of collective diorama...

I was wondering how things were getting done trough internet.

It's a great idea. I think I would be in for one of those "race or rally" car GB.

Since I just got back to the hobby, I could use the coaching and support lol.

Thanks for the replies.

Hey Alex - check out the Auto forum - they're talking about a rally GB over there. And then encourage those folks to post over here in the GB section (if they haven't already).

Cheers!
