Note: Do to a number of commitments and complications I won't bore you with (including the birth of my new daughter!) I dropped the ball on hosting this group build. Granted, a lot of things are more important than modeling, but I could have at least kept up with the build, even if I wasn't able to make it to my bench. Because other forum members stepped up and kept posting while I was gone, we're going to extend the deadline on this one and take new participants. I've made some edits to the rules, so check them out below before posting.
I've been gazing at the '87 T-Bird Turbo Coupe from Revell that my son gave me for Christmas and it occurred to me that a group build honoring the 1980s would be a lot of fun. So, let's keep it simple:
1. Any subject, as long as it was active in the Eighties. If it's a subject that served for many years (such as an F-4) it should be marked as it appeared during the Eighties.
2. Any aftermarket or scratchbuilt stuff is fine.
3. Crossovers are fine, and so are kits you've already started as long as they're less than 50% finished.
4. Build period is from right now until 31 Dec 2010.
5. Every participant must post at least one reason the Eighties were totally awesome to the max!
6. Every participant must have fun!
I'll start off:
The Eighties were awesome because they're the decade where I got my first computer, my first car and my first girlfriend. I also joined my beloved Air Force during the Eighties.
