Nice badges but they definately favor the Red Dawn angle.

I never got around to joining in, but had some fun watching a similar build several years ago. Each entry not only had a story for the build but also their back story for WW3, some were fairly conventional cold war turns hot scenarios, others much more Madmax like.

I've been throwing the idea of building a truck for travelling around after the zombie apocalypse. Big Smile [:D] Not sure if that would work but I got the idea after reading World War Z.

Hmmm... Sounds interesting. I have an AMT F-16 in the stash. It's not the best quality, raised panel lines and a terrible cockpit, but this would be ficticious. I could revamp the pit and add some new detail not found on current aircraft. It should follow the story fine, since wartime technology advances much quicker. The other thing I could do is I have a partially-built kit of a lunar vehicle with a shuttle. I have begun to modify it for moon warfare, as when the earth got nnuked, war ensued elsewhere. If the lunar thing is good, and I can mod a 16, I'm in!

ww III doesn't have a set history yet so you can do anything futuristic or past as long as it stays to ww III

I also have a 1/72nd Monogram Space Shuttle (Might have been origionally Hasegawa though) That I could mod. I'll have to think on it. I'm also thinking of some badges as well. Well, count me in for the F-16! (BTW: scale is 1/48th)

This would be a cool idea! I have a cool looking hell hound from Patlabor which would make an awesome AH-94 Apache II or a Dropship from the Aliens movie. Either of them would be cool, count me in!

You can just edit the first post if you want. I'm not sure the proper manners for these things but that seems to be how many handle it. I don't think anyone would throw a hissy fit if you startd a new post though so either is probably fine. I would suggest you hammer out the particulars a bit before doing either though. Dates, acceptable builds etc, the basic rules of the build.

As long as this is suitably long I'll never be able to resist so you may as well count me in, but I don't know with what yet. I've got quite a few cold war era kits I could use for a cold war goes atomic thing and some ideas for a more futuristic angle as well.

World War Z, now that is a great zombie-apocalypse book, I just couldn't put it down. Hmmmm........not a bad idea for a GB either.Cool [8D]

Hmmmm. WWIII huh? Sounds interesting. I might have to get in on this on. I have been contemplating a couple of projects that would fit the Red Dawn/Red Storm Rising angle pretty well. Any ideas as to the run time and dates? I might be able to do something for this GB depending on the end date.

Question, is aftermarket necessary? I plan on scratching several things on my model, but I don't have a disposible income (I'm only 15) and this recession is having quite a few negative effects on my allowance. Otherwise, sign me up for a modified F-16 (D model I believe)

I'll ante up with an already started BMD-1P 1/35 kit. I think it is the Skif kit. It still has a ways to go before completion. If it is finished in a timely manner, I will maybe throw in an aircraft of some sort... got lots that qualify in the stash.

Any particular reason why they can't be painted? That's what kind of kills it for me.

Sorry about the size of the second badge if someone could resize it for me, photoflexor isn't co-operating and I don't have a decent program to resize it. Thanks.

Edit: 666Irish, I think he means they can be assambled before the GB starts. If there's paint on it, it's too far into the build.

Oh, ok. That makes sense. I hadn't had my coffee quota for the day when I read that originally.

I just imagined a very plain group build! LOL

of course not but it's always optional, custom scratchbuilding is fine.

Ok. It was a little unclear how you phrased it in the beginning. I noticed you edited it. Thanks for clairifying. First, I plan on scratching a new ejection seat. The AMT thing is junk...

I have a B1-B that I'm willing to enter . . . . I've got a space shuttle also, but will it count for the build if it is painted normally?

Well, I began building today. The cockpit is a piece of... well... I can't type that word, but you get my pioint. I plan on modifying the tub, and partially scratching a new seat, while using bits of the old one. Now that I think of it, I have the seats of a derelict F-14 around. Might have to take a look at that... Anyway, The side consoles need some stuff, so I'm gonna scrounge around my spares. I have a set of aircraft carrier crew, along with some pilots (HAsegawa) I assembled one of the pilots, and it looks great. I have some tiny bits from the spares that I want to add to the helm. Aside from that, not much else has changed.

Ok. I got the seat out. The thing is a gem! I plan on adding to it, and modding the side consoles with the Revell parts. Why could'nt AMT do that? And the AMT kit is like 20 yrs newer? That is one company which I strongly dislike...
