Russian GB
Posted by modelbuilder12 on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 8:21 AM

Is anyone interested in having a GB?  It will be about Russian armor and aircraft (helicopters included).  The winner will be stated.  If you are interested please respond with the model you are building and when it was used.  There will we a World War II contest, an 8/10/09.  If you are interested in making a bust or figure, there will be a contest for that, just state the 'name', time period, size, and what war he/she was in.

I'm interested in joining in, I'm working on a diorama of two russian tanks in WWII (abround 1941-42).

One of them it already started and I haven't got the other yet.

I'd highly recommend putting out feeler threads in the aircraft, armor, and other forums to generate interest before starting a GB.  Two participants does not a GB make.

I'd also recommend losing the contest theme.  That's not what GB's are about.

Good luck.

Building Now:

1/48 Academy Bf-109G6 - 100%

1/48 Tamiya F4U-1A - 5%

Upcoming:

1/48 Revell F-14D

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] Also try to come up with a more specific subject(helps gather more intrest), because yours is a bit too wide. Just look around the threads and you'll see GB's are usually specific in a subject, such as dive bombers, or Lend-Lease vehicles, or panzers on the IV chassis. So gather some ideas of what you think modelers would want to join GB for, then create a feeler thread in a specific forum to see if people respond positively or negatively(by that I mean how many people say their willing to join.)

Hope this helps.Smile [:)]
