Problem with GB badges
Posted by LeopardMan on Monday, July 6, 2009 10:22 PM

Hey all, I got a little problem with my GB batches. I put both links in my sig but 1 batch shows full and the other is right below just showing to top edge. I saw several ppl that have there badges side by side or even animated. Could anybody help me out? Thanks in advance.

I believe your problem is that you're pressing the enter button after pluggin' in the first badge link. Instead just press the space bar after the first badge link and then put in the second badge link. Hope this helps.

2. Upload to photobucket

3. Copy IMG from photobucket to ur profile sig

Joe & Ken,

If you guys want I would be happy to animate the GB badges you are using into 1 .gif file for your sigs.  Let me know and I'll post the image back into this thread.

1. Find a free GIF animator program. There's TONS of free ones on the web. do a search!

2. Add all your badges into it, and maybe set some with timing and such (Be sure to make it loop).

3. Save as a .GIF file, upload file to photobucket and set it in your signature as any normal photo..

That's just one easy way of doing it...

Hope it helps!!

Thanks Huxy! I appreciate it. I am not up on all of this new stuff. I still have a cell phone that is actually just a cell phone believe it or not! I am more into the technical side of computors like fixing hardware and software problems. I usally do not pay much attention to the new gizmos that keep coming out. I have never owned an Ipod or an MP3 player let alone an Iphone.

Don't worry, Soulcrusher.. I'm 17 year old and got a cellphone that is just a cellphone.. All I need is to call someone on some rear occasion, or to answear a phonecall.. Nothing more.. And I got one MP3 player, but never use it! Big Smile [:D]

About your problem of paying, well, I got a Macintosh computer, and I found a program called GIFfun. It is free and works excellent for simple tasks as animating a signature like that...

Here's one I found for PC.. You tried this? http://www.toggle.com/lv/group/view/kl34879/Microsoft_GIF_Animator.htm

Thanks Darren. I really appreciate you taking the time to make the gif file. I am going to check out the program you used to create it. There are two more GB badges I have if you do not mind adding them for me. I will PM you with them. Thanks agianThumbs Up [tup]

Huxy I did check out that program. It was ok but I guess I am going to have to pay if I want a better one. There is alot of good software that is free but after looking around all of the good animator programs cost money. Sometimes you just have to pay.

I use Corel Rave 2.0 which was a part of Corell 11, but is not in the current Corel X4.  You might be able to find Corell 11 for a reasonable price since it is now an older program.  The learning curve is a bit rocky if you are new to Corel but not bad if you are used toit.  I've tried some of the free programs but they don't come close in capability.  If Darren gets overloaded I can do gifs also.

Thanks for the offer jeaton. I went ahead and purchased the same program Darren was useing and it was great. It was very  easy to figure out and use. I highly recomend it to anyone looking to build gif files.
