I've got an AFV club tiger 1. But I have a lot of GB's to finish up. I may join. I think about 90% of treadheads build german armor...

It's nice you're really interested in starting a GB, however it's smart to hang around the forums for a while(since you just joined) and join in some GB's before starting your own. That way you get a better idea of how their run them. Along with that, most GB's are only succesful if they revolve around a specific topic(your's is a bit vague and way too open) some specific one's are like..... Dive Bombers GB, 1,000 Roadwheels, Lend-Lease GB, Korean War, and etc. They attract attention without being way too open and vague.

I would agree with mikael. It might be an idea to join a few GB's first and you ght want to narrow this down. In the last year we have had a big cats (Tiger's and Panther's), a 251 and a Pz IV GB. The Pz IV build is still on going. Bt if your looking a starting a GB hat willrun into next ear, i might well be up for it if  can catc up the back log.

Ditto. Maybe like German armor used in the Ardennes or German armor in Poland or German armor in africa.

That's a good idea, but if you really like the idea a VERY open GB, you could do something like German Armor on the Eastern Front, that is still very open and kind of vague but it is more specific that just German Armor GB.

Oh, I just read that again, and I really like the idea of German Armor in Poland, but Boba, which did you mean, when Germany took Poland in 1939, or when Russia captured it back in 1944-1945?

Atually that is a good idea. And as most German armour builds are late war a Poland 39 GB would be good,or a France 40.

Either Poland. The Tiger I plan to build is a '44 Tiger in Poland. It's a very unique thing to do an early war one though. Maybe Polish Calvary charging PZ. 1's and 2's.

We could do like a Poland '44 GB with both Russian Armour and German Armour

That would rock! Thumbs Up [tup] not a total German GB, but more of a campaing GB. I love it! I think the Polish scene was greatly overlooked and it could use some hyping. Anyone wanna run one? I have the Jounier one to finish up and the Star Wars, but I might be able to help...

Maybe if all 3 of us helped out and did it jointly. Someone is in charge of pg. 1, others notify him of finished builds, etc. I could help if dome of the load was taken off me.

So let's see... Andrew, brian, and me would mainly lead it, and Jim could help out. Does that work? PM me if that sounds good. Then we can plot the rules, subject matter, etc.

If you are doing a GB on a certain campaign you could always open it up to all weapon types used in that conflict, such as aircarft.

Sorry. Kinda hi-jacked your thread. You may do a German armor GB if you wish, but we'll do a Poland campaign. Your thread kinda opened up some ideas. It was most helpful. I still encourage you to try out your German armor GB though. If you allow crossovers, I'll enter the Poland Tiger 1 as well.

Yeah, I have some models that could work as crossovers.
