Pordoi: No problem. After some different comments I think I will start in Dec. 2010 and go till Dec. 2011.  I have to finish that pesky Ef-11 for your GB as well as 3 for the Korea GB, I have something like 5-6 different f-16s in the stash that I am itching to build. Hope to see you and the "big" bird on the list come Dec.!

Hey Travis,

I've got the Tamiya 1/32 F-16cj and I'm interested.  But will hold off committing for sure until later in the year since I've got the Swing Wing GB going through next April that I have to keep a presence in.   But also, depending upon how time consuming and challenging the B-1B build will be that I'm doing for the Swing Wing, I might just need some down time before diving in on another big kit like the 1/32 Viper.  I'll follow this and let you know how things go.

chewybr:

Thanks I might just do that. As of now this thing is looking really good! This will be the first GB I have "hosted" and I am looking forward to it. Thanks for the input.

Hey yeah, if you start in October and run for a year I should be able to pop in for this one as well.

I got into a Viper buying kick a few years ago but haven't got around to starting any.

In my stash:

Tamiya F-16C

Kinetic F-16DG two-seater

Kinetic F-16A/B Free Chinese (Taiwon)

Kinetic F-16C Israeli

I may have to ask people to vote on which one I should do though!

So please put me down as a provisional sir.

I'm in -- at least a dozen Vipers in my stash, I'd better get busy with them. I recently admitted to myself that I had better build one every year if I'm ever going to get through my collection during a normal lifespan... Plus a Tomcat, at least two Bf 109s and three Phantoms, every year, regular as clockwork..

October is good for me, though I have so much on the bench it could be next year, easily, before I can cut sprue on a Falcon.

Cheers, Mike/TB379

Sometimes coincidence can be scary....

Just read about this GB proposal this morning and went into town afterwards. Found a badly damaged box of Revells 1:32 F16N with contents perfectly intact for just 8 dollars! Heard it's a pretty crappy kit but couldn't leave it gathering dust at such a sweet priceBig Smile Agressor paintscheme looked cool too.

awesome. I think the 12mons well be great, and it will give everyone time to finish other GB.

I found this book in sprucebrothers as well for modeling the Viper http://store.spruebrothers.com/reid-air-publications---the-scale-viper-a-modelers-guide-to-building-the-f-16-p23336c155.aspx?Thread=True

Just an FYI Spruebrothers has 2 Hasegawa F-16's on sale.

An F-16F Block 60 in 1/48 and a F-16I in 1/48

http://store.spruebrothers.com/aircraft-kits-148-c491.aspx

good prices IMHO.  I probably going to buy the F-16F Block 60.  As for the GB I might to an aggressor scheme F-16.  It should be a fun GB.

Ok! This is great! My whole idea was that so many countries use the "Viper" as a front line fighter...and have different variants that is could be  a great GB! Maybe I can meet everyone in the middle. How does October sound for a a start date. This way I can get my other builds done and I can run it for 12 months.....till October of 2011! Let me know.

I would most deffently hop on the band wagon if the GB runs alittle longer then Dec...say maybe run it for 6month or a year i just picked up the tamiya 1:32 scale F-16 block 50.. and this is going to be one nice aircraft after i get to build it...but im building a b-17 in the GB as of now.. and im superdetialing the inside. so id need time for the f-16 since this puppy has alot of detail as well

Edit: but FYI I was thinking of starting a Viper GB as well...looks like you beat me to it

The idea of a viper GB is great and sounds interesting. Alot of countries use the F16 so that should provide for some interesting finish options. But if you would allow me to whine just a little bit here i would say that you would have more people joining if you started your GB later this year (or even the beginning of next year) and have it run for 6 months or even a year. Lots of GB's going on at the moment...

just my humble 50 eurocents

That sounds good! I may have been getting a little too crazy. I have a EF-111 for the Variable Geom GB and a couple of kits to start and finished for the Korean War GB! I will probably hold off until the new year.....what's 5 months!Smile

If you started this after the new year I would do it.  As you know I have a B-1B to finish and a helicopter to start in the Korean War GB.  I have 2 of Tamiya's F-16 C/N's I have been itching to start.

I love all the different versions of the F-16 Vipers that are out on the market. I was thinging of a Viper GB for the site. Anyone interested?

I was thinking of building the newly released f-16I BERKAAT by Hasegawa is 1/72 scale.

Any after market is welcome. All scales and countries are welcome.
