Hey Azorean, how have you been? Nice job on the A4, starting to see these show up as completed builds now, good to see Airfix doing well again.

Only a couple of weeks left to run in this build. Its been a long one, so not surprised its gone quiet. Hopefully we can get a last minute flurry over the holidays.

Just trying to decide if I can get away with rushing something in at the very end. (I have a Super Etandard and that Pucara still waiting...) This weekends "finishes" will tell the story.

I didn't realise it had been so long since anyone posted in here. Well, last chance to get things wrapped up. The GB ends, properly this time, at the end of Dec. So lets see if we can have a final flurry at the end.

I won't get anything more done for this GB, but it has been one of the most enjoyable for me. Thanks for hosting it. I support as many GBs as  I possibly can, but they're always the best when there are multiple concurrent builds being actively posted, IMHO.

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

By Neptune's Sceptre!!!

Looking forward to it G!

Wow, I was doing some reading this past week, a feature magazine on the Mirage III / V series & of course the Kfirs and Daggers that grew out of those. Big article on the Falklands War - I had no idea how big a part of the operations those Lear Jets were! Pathfinders for strike packages, loiter in the area, then guiding them home again!?

I'd like to try and get a head count of who is still in on this GB. See if we can put some sort of time line on it. I know Stik and jere are still building. Can we have a show of hands of who is still building for this, and who is about to start a build fo it within the next xcouple of weeks.

I am cracking away at the Neptune. Will make it happen by the end of the year.

lol, it's a hazard in here, finding group builds that are just too interesting to pass up!! I'm in the same boat, hoping to get that Pucara of mine done over the winter, but sooooo many others I want get at quickly as well. Tony, glad to hear "your ship has come in"... ;)

Well, i hope we get to see it next year. Thanks for taking part in this GB. If we are still all around in 10 years, maybe we can have a 40th anniversary GB.

I know what you you mean about over commitmants, i think i have commited to enough to keep me busy into 2014. I just can't say no to some GB's.

For those that remember my HMS Sheffield, and the history of how I wanted to build a Type 21 frigate, you'll be entertained to know that my Cyber Hobby HMS Antelope has finally landed on the doorstep.

I can't get it done in the time frame for this GB though, already over committed for the rest of 2012.

Cheers

Hi there Bish,

Things are quiet around here, I hope some of the guys can finish their projects before dead line.

As you said is quite a shame, but with luck it won´t take to long to get some decent decals for the Dagger.

But, once I get some decals I won´t be too long before I finish my model, I even got the Mk.17 1000 lb bomb and some 500 lb Expal. so I am almost there.

You can bet I will send some pics once I finish the damm thing LOL

Cheers,

Jeremias

Hi there guys,

So I haven´t been the only "missing" fellow of the GB?

I toke my vacations, so I was unable to check the forum.

It seems like I will be unable to finish my Dagger because the guy that will make the decal set for the Dagger is quite delayed so he thinks maybe next year.

So... I think I got as far as I could wich was the first cammo colour.

Just a pitty,

Cheers

I know I've said it a couple of times before but I will definitly get some paint on the Argentine Chinook this week . Been draggin' the chain a little of late but I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things , mostly because I have been researching and looking a pic's of the Sikorsky H-34 (S-58) Helo variants and want to get back into the S-58ET build . Should be able to make some good progress this coming week .

John .

That's great Mochilote. The eyes look absolutely right. How did you do the goggles ?

Vance - the going rate seems to be about $44 AUD give or take. I've seen a few in hobby stores for slightly less. I think it's worth shopping around.

Cheers

Tony

A little steep for a 1/72 kit, BUT, I suppose, it does come with the resin & PE bits as well. Decals look good too.

Wow, sprues (and pic that followed) look good. What are these kits going for? Thought I saw one listed for $40-50, but maybe my currency conversion was off. Interested in the Dagger.

Fantastic work Mochilote, I just love it.

On the subject of High Planes Models, they've always been very 'limited run' in terms of quality, and needed some work.

The latest releases are much closer to mainstream. I've heard of people finishing construction of the Mirage in just a few hours.

There subjects are in my target areas, so I'll be building a few of the new releases without hesitation.

Cheers

John, seems to be working ok again now.

I have heard people talk about High Planes kits but i don't think i have ever seen one built. Its a real mix of mediums. And sounds like you have got a pretty full bench.
