Possible group build.
Posted by RotorHead10 on Thursday, July 14, 2011 10:41 PM

Soliciting interest for a possible group build.  Search and rescue would be the topic.  It would include all assets including land vehicle, aviation, helicopter, vessels, etc... pretty much anything that could be used in a SAR capacity.  This ins't an official GB posting, just trying to get some SAR interest.  Thanks, and have a great day.

I think this would be an interesting build.  What time frame did you have in mind?

Thinking about trying to get it going around Labor Day weekend.  It would be the anniversary of Katrina.

Hi RotorHead10 ;

If cross-over builds are allowed , perhaps I could join in with Italeri's 1/72 UH-19A Rescue Chickasaw ...

I'm quite involved with Stikpusher's Korean War Group Build and I was thinking of building the pontoon equipped UH-19A for the 3rd Rescue Squadron , based at Pusan , Korea during the summer of 1952 .

An idea for a group badge!  This is my rendition of an existing "Elvis" patch that was around back when I was in the USCG working SAR.

What do you guys think?

Unofficial just meant I was sending out feeler posts to see if there was a general interest in a SAR group build.  Stay tuned to the board this week, and we'll make an official GB post for SAR!  Thanks for following!

Yes, 12 months will be acceptible, and yes crossover builds can be included.  I'm looking to start it up around labor day.  Kind a tip o' the hat  to those who served nobley during Hurricane Katrina ops.  How do i get this rolling?  Do I have to request it from the forum editor/moderator?  Or do I just proceed with it?

No need to go through the moderator.  I will PM you with some details on how to get it started and what is involved.
