Feeler Thread for a No More Excuses GB: Part Deux - Updated Rules
Posted by macattack80 on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 8:17 PM

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a GB for those kits you started a while ago and then put back on the shelf to collect dust?

This GB would be based on Wyoroy's GB from a few years back.

I was thinking of running starting it around November 2011, or later if requested, for a year.

-Any kit that has been started then put away would qualify

-Any kit that was entered in any other GB that wasn't completed within that deadline would also qualify, started or not.

-Any subject or scale would be welcome.

-If your excuse was being intimidated by a new genre of modeling,  have no fear here!  Bring it!

-Any project you put off because you didn't feel like getting to that dio/vignette would qualify as well.

Instead of a photo of the sprues, post a pic of your started kit covered in dust or the name of the GB the kit was supposed to be a part of or whatever you got!

Let me know what you think.  This would be my first time hosting a GB so any suggestions are welcome.

I'd definately be interested, but I could not do a November start date. Maybe around the start of the year?

The start date is up in the air yet and would be based on the input of GB participants.  I would not have a problem waiting til January or running over a year.

I have several kits that are finished as stand alone kits, but i still need to do Dioramas for, so to me they are un finished. Would these count.

I don't have a problem with that.  If your intentions were to build the kit to go in a diorama then technically the project isn't finished yet.

Sign up anytime!  The more the merrier.  The failed GBs is what kind of prompted me to start this GB.  I have a bunch was wasn't able to finish.

bsyamato ye, i do seem to recall. With me, the only GB's i entered and didn't finish the build for are ones i didn't get around to starting. But because i was jumping from one GB to the next, and trying to finish within the time frame, i have several Dioarams to finish.

mac i take it you are going to open a fresh thread for the actual build and put the roster in there.
