Weekend Madness IV - Nov 19/20th
Posted by razordws on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 9:24 PM

Hi all, I've hosted a Weekend Madness GB the last three years and had a lot of fun.

This years build will be held the weekend of November 19th and 20th 2011 but please see the rules below as there is some flexibility for those who can't build that specific weekend.

Here is a link to Weekend Madness GB 2009 & Weekend Madness GB 2010

Here are the rules:

Open to everyone

Any model type (armor, aircraft, ship, auto, rail, fantasy, figures, etc.)

Any scale

Out of the box or AM - your choice

Cross over builds with other Group Builds are allowed

Must be completely unstarted (sniffing the styrene is okay but no snipping parts off and cleaning them up - if you've previously snipped the parts off the sprue thats okay but as of now no touchy!)

Must post pics at the start of the unbuilt model

Must post pics of the finished model at the deadline - if you don't quite finish by the deadline you must still post pics of the currrent state of the model at the deadline.

Post as many pics of the progress along the way as you can

Since everyone's schedule and responsibilities differ there is no official start time.  However, the build will be limited to 48 hours, preferably over the Friday/Saturday/Sunday of the chosen weekend.  So, if you start at 5:00pm on Friday you must finish by 5:00pm on Sunday.  If you don't start until 11:00pm on Friday you have until 11:00pm on Sunday.

For those who want to participate but whose weekends don't fall on the traditional Sat-Sun or, if you can't build on that specific weekend, you are welcome to participate either the weekend before or after or anywhere in between, just keep to the same time frame (48 hrs) and as close to the designated weekend that you can.  Anything outside of the week before or the week after the designated weekend would not be encouraged.

HAVE FUN!!!

Bob, always good to have one of the usual suspects back for another round.

Centhot, Welcome to the madness.  I built a Hobby Boss easy build (Mustang) earlier this year and it would be an excellent choice for a weekend build.  Cool

at the suggestion of vetteman, I'll try my hand at this "weekend madness" thingamajig. NO guarantees I'll be able to participate however; it all depends on what my classes are like that week(end).

If I am able, I'll be entering a Hasegawa Bf-109e, in 1/72 scale. Smile

Now that I'm here, where am I??

Dave's back!  Put me down as well.  Anyone heard from Frank or Richie?  By the way, it's still your fault.

You will have fun! Plan ahead, map out the steps you'll take first, the long term stuff like Future on the clearies and wash and dry the sprues.

ALRIGHT!  MORE RECRUITS!  Propeller

Dostacos, Jeff, welcome aboard guys.

I'm not sure what I'm going to build yet either.  Went armor last year so maybe I'm back to aircraft.  I've got a Heller De 520 or a Super model Maachi 202 and a 205.  Decisions, decisions!!!  Confused

I did aircraft and armor last year. The armor kit was done so I could be Bill's wingman the following weekend when he did his build. I think think year it will be just one and most likely aircraft.
