Idea for a Secret Santa GB variation...

I know the whole Secret Santa idea was mentioned too late last year, but I thought that I'd mention an idea I had for something that could be done this year.  I didn't research the history to see if this has been suggested or done before, so apologies if I'm repeating someone else's idea accidentally.

I was thinking about how the Secret Santa builds I did see were late in the year, opening the presents on Xmas, and open-ended on the completion.  I thought maybe we could do something where the presents could be bought at a different time of year might be a good idea ( so that it's not added to a list for relatives atc at the same time ) with WIP during the time leading up to the holidays, and the finished pics up for Xmas so that we'd have something to look at here during the week from then to New Year's.

One possibility for a start date I thought of was to set it up with the opening of the gifts for a "Xmas in July" idea, giving a good 5 months for building.

So, what do you guys think?
