Ken: That's gonna be a beast of a model once it's done!

Thanks SS. I picked up the B 52 today and its a smaller scale (1-72), The B-17 and the B 24 are 1/48 scale, but the 52 is a bigger model. The 52's must be enormous beside the 17s, and the 24s So, it's an even bigger beast of a model. I think I have enough to do for the next year or so. Don't let me join any more GB's LOLGeeked

Ken, o believe me, that B-52 is damn big. i built one many years ago but never completed it. After many years of moving and storage, it was a wreck. I managed to get of another one which I am hoping to build next year.

Joe: I love your little Hellcat!

Jay: Looking good! The Eduard 190s  really are unforgiving kits, but it seems like you got everything under control.

Hey Raven, I'm sure liking how your T-34 is turning out. Definitely turning out a sharp looking piece of armor.

Wow, all the great looking builds. You all rock. I am amazed by the craftsmanship of everyone.

Hey SS, Bish, You can use this photo for the complete build for me. I think the first reply got lost in all the information that is going on in this thread. Lot of great Information.

Ken, nice to hear you have your hands on it. I am still waiting out on some AM parts to be released, there supposed to be bomb bay's and wheel wells on the way. But I am hoping to get to mine next year. But we will see.

I've been trying to get some things done on the B-24, but, right now, it's slow going

I've been working on the interior. I know it will be hard to see inside it, but, I really

don't like leaving things undone.

I know there has been some discussion on this, but this is my opinion

Thanks

Ken, go for it. Its nice knowing that you have done what you can to improve it. I did all that scratchbuilding on the interiors of the He 111Z last year, and its a really struggle to see inside there. But I will still do it again.

Here's the T-34 painted Tamiya XF-61 Dark Green. It lightened up a bit over the grey primer, but not enough to bother me; it's really quite a lovely shade of green... er, hopefully that statement doesn't sound too odd in the context of a Soviet armor model. Wink The primer and paint did cover up the casting texture on the turret a bit more than I'd hoped, but not as much as I'd feared. Again, it's good enough for me. For being an older kit, and one that was meant to have a motor and batteries installed, this was really an enjoyable build. The part attachment points were almost always excellent. Well, time for this girl to get running gear and a mudbath!

Splendid work Steve. Really well done. As for your "lovely" green, I have to admit that it is rather eye catching in a sort of soothing way.Wink

Looking nice there Steve, I reckon the weathering will darken that up again, that's if  can bring yourself to cover that lovely green in mud.

Don't worry, your secret is safe with us. Wink

Nomad: Sorry man, I really didn't see your post earlier. I'll get the pic up tomorrow at the latest.

Bish: Thanks for keeping an eye on things like that when I'm not at home or just too dumb to notice things... Wink

Bish - I'm lousy at scratch building. Athough I have done a few things.

On that note, it's not scratching, If you don't know/remember, No model company ever put out (That I know of) a 1972 El Camino/GMC Sprint. AMT did however put out a 68.  I owned the 72 GMC once. I cut the front off and put a front clip from a 72 chevelle on it.

I know what you mean ken. I was doing little bits here and there and was basically forced into it on the 111. I just couldn't leave the inside bare.

Nice looking build, though I am not sure how effective that camo would be.Wink
