No. I though interest waned but I guess not. Well if people are interested I guess we can restart the build and set a later start date and the like. Unfortunately I'm not on here much anymore. More so Armorama. Anyone interested?

Mike,  I would have built for the Fire/EMS GB, it was an interesting subject, but at that time I had a serious backlog to deal with. After a massive effort late last year, I'm pretty close to being on top of it, so I should be ready to roll with any new GBs coming up.

Keep going with these specific subjects. Although they don't get big attendances due to the specific nature, I find them really interesting and an opportunity to build something that might not have seen the light of day otherwise.

Cheers

Tony

it was your first GB and the subject was not as broad as this one. i enjoyed it and just picked up the reissued revell ladder truck.

Unfortunately wayne, the Fire/EMS GB didn't go as well as had hoped but it did go well... And no, wheels are not allowed (unless you're talking idler wheel ;) . Haha). Only tracks, so the BT-5 or 7 would be allowed.

i should say NO but it's MIKEY and he ran a good FIRE/EMS GB so i will seriously consider this though i am stacked up like DIA in a blizzard. if wheels are allowed no problem. i have some JGSDF, canadian, and PLA stuff. if not i have a BT-5 or 7 in the stash that would be a quick build with some new weathering techniques.

Thanks for the clarification Mike. I do have some Crusaders in the stash, although I usually prefer German armor.  Let's call it a Crusader Mk III, 1/48, Tamiya for now.

Cruiser tanks can be. Matilda are not though. It's a fine line distinction with the cruiser tanks. The Crusader, for instance, is included, but the the Cromwell and Matilda is not. The A10 and A13 Cruiser tanks are included. Panzer II's are light tanks. Any ausfuhrung (model number) of the Panzer I and II's are included. Like the Panzer I Ausf. A, B, C , etc.

Oh, Tony, I'll be participating in your 2014 Automotive GB with that Hudson Hornet that I never finished.

I'd like to support you in this GB Mike. I've had a look through my 1/48 stash, and I can't find anything that classifies as a 'light tank'. I guess a cruiser tank, like a Valentine or Matilda isn't really it ? What about a Panzer II ?

I can't think of another 1/48 kit that would qualify, but I am open to suggestions. I have plenty of armored cars, but they're not it either.

Cheers

Ok. I started a build the exact same as this on another forum that's supposed to start in March. I proposed it in October and now that the start date is nearer, I will put it down here.

Ok. So the rules:

1. Any light tank, any scale, any era, Must be classified as a light tank or tankette. Panzer jaegers or tank destroyers built on light tank chassis are not allowed. "Paper tanks" are allowed as long as they would have been classified as light tanks, reconnaissance tanks, tracked combat cars, or tankettes.

2. Models may be less than 25% completed before the start date. No more.

3. Must upload start and progress pictures with the build.

4. Crossover allowed.

5. Must have fun.

Start date: March 31st

End date: October 1st (can be extended by 1 month if need be and popular demand arises)
