Rob, I knew you will be on this GB and Im very happy to have someone very skilled and with lot of knowledge both on the hobby and in real hands on experience. 

You already have gotten to a good start, Im very curious to see how everything comes out.

Everyone knows I never build kits and am just a rivet counter who criticizes other people's builds.

I was hoping to just slap this thing together using the conversion parts in place of the kit parts, but as I get going, I see items I know I can easily fix or replace. Then I see items I can fix with some extra effort. Then I see items that I want to fix, but may require some major surgery like replacing the entire fenders with sheet styrene and gluing the detail parts onto the fenders.

For instance, the molded on spare track links are something I can easily fix, but would require fender replacement. Decisions, decisions...

I went out on a limb and sprayed the tracks German Grey, it worked!!!

Chuck, those are really small parts...not sure which one is worst (in a good way), PE or 1/72.

 shivinigh, yours is also very tiny.

At least both of youdont have to worry on paint usage...one drop of paint gives to hands of primer

Small update, today I spent 2 hours, doing just twoparts.

This one is composed of 7 different parts , each one requires a different bending, position glued on. It took me an hour to complete...   

Yes, that  baseball bat is the tip of a toothpick... , it is the door "handle"

Things slowed down a bit as I had to leave it a few days for the oil paint to dry. I don't normally leave it this long, but then I am not normally masking and painting over oil paint.

I did some lighter green dry brushing around the edges and some light chipping. It then got a light coat of AK dust effect's. All thise so the green that will show after the DY is added is clearly more weathered than the yellow. The tracks were finished and fitted and I added some pigments to the lower hull as well as some grass mixed with mud. So next step is masking and painting the yellow.

Rob: Feel free to nitpick anything I do here. Some people may have an issue but I can use all the advice I can get. I'll admit I don't normally apply it to the model I just finished since I hate to go back and redo stuff but I do stick it in my mind to use on the next model of a similar type.

Bish I really like the shading and the tracks and wheels look great,  especially all the detail. This is a nice build and I need to get moving but I have a few time related issues.

Not a chance, I've sworn off pointing out accuracy issues on this website regarding anyone's built kit nor will I give an opinion on the accuracy of an unbuilt kit. All I'll say about a kit is buy it, build it out of box and have fun. That is the general consensus of most users on this forum. 

Now, this is better, some Dark Yellow. Now its looking like a proper AFV. I masked with white tac, but after it was removed, the finish was to hard edged for my liking, so I went back over it free hand.

Now just have to add the markings. I know what I am doing with the cross, just not sure about the numbers.

Nice start Conky, don't worry, there's plenty of time. No sense rushing things.

Yeap, looks good so far Conky. I tend to go a little slow on Dragon kits simply due to having lots of extra spare parts that look almost the same as the ones you're supposed to use.

Very good work Bish, an impressive bit of work. It is nice to see it done in something other than overall Soviet green.

Gamera, don't worry about it. To me it's not worth the hassle from certain members to give any advice in those areas around here. Life is easier if I do not provide advice on models.

I understand Rob. I don't see why some people on forums get so upset about what's just a hobby. If I get angry it's about something important - like that lady the other day that called my Camaro a 'Mustang'....

Conky: You're off to a good start! I didn't see your question regarding the tracks earlier, but I just wanted to tell you that those Dragon rubber tracks can be painted and glued like normal styrene.
