Thanks Wayne! Yours will probably get done better than mine.I'll be interested in seeing it done. I( considered getting a second one to make in travel mod, but I don't know if I can afford one yet. I'll wait until they go on sale. That one; when I get it, will be camouflaged.

Nice, Wayne.  Ought to be able to hide in the snow pretty well!

thank you. the snow will be amusing to try. at least i can look out the window for inspiration. here are all of my OTS builds this year, 4 1/72 and a 1/76. not bad given i started this scale this year and i have a bunch for next year.THANKS TO EVERYBODY WHO PARTICIPATED AND COMMENTED. this was my first as host and i enjoyed it.

Very nice collection Wayne! Keep going man, you only have 660 more to go to catch up to me! IndifferentBig Smile

Happy New Year! I look forward to building more OTS models alongside you next year. Toast

OK, so after the umteenth time batling with the rigging on this damn tiny DH-82 and every time messing it up further I finally chucked it in the trash! It is the 2nd 1/72 Biplane that has gotten the better of my with the rigging and no 8$ kit is worth my sanity LOL

Untill I get the propper drill bits for rigging I wil not attempt it again.

Wayne thang for hosting, it was a blast  :-)

Anyone going to host another 1/72 GB this year?? If so I'm in!

Lucky it's on the el-cheapo kits instead of my nice Eduard D-7 , Neuport or WNW S5!

THEUNS glad you enjoyed it.

maybe i should throw a couple out instead of clogging up my shelf queen space. i have to do a biplane this year for a WINGS OVER THE ROCKIES museum ww1 exhibit my club is doing unless i can do a ship. need to do one of those this year too.

i am seriously considering hosting another one of these. i have a number of GBs i can crossover. i am thinking april start time, let the new year GBs get settled and throw this in when folks need a quick change of pace. i want to do a couple of 1/72 and 1/35 simultaneously (BDW trucks, FUCHS, some JGSDF stuff)

As usual, Wayne, I'd be up for it as I'm a Braille junky...I have several 1/72 lined up.

Just now getting a chance to upload pics of the P-26.  I completed it for the Weekend Group Build.

Pic of non startage.

Time to go to work.

Got a little bogged down and was about to write this build off, but got inspired by other Weekenders.  Flying wires are out of .020 brass wire, too thick for this scale but the width is about right.

Time to go to bed.  Got to go to work soon.

Woke up early to do the decals.  Stick a fork in her, she's done!

A little under 5 hours to spare.

I thought I had lost the aerial in front of the cockpit, but I found it later on.  She's painted in Tamiya's USAF OD, and is a lot greener than these pics show.  Decals by Aztec, a little on the thick side but they're pretty much the only game in town for South and Central American air forces.  Hope y'all enjoy.   Thanks Wayne for hosting this build.

That's neat the GB has been extended.  I have my 190 about 1/2 done.  Should be a semi-quick finish.

Great work by the way everyone.  Love that WWI Tank!

Finishing up the Academy Light Vehicle set and that will be it for me!

The Kettenkraftrad is practically done.  Just need to do some light drybrushing and install the seat which I thought was lost.  Found it yesterday....the carpet monster almost ate it!! Smile Burger

Jeep is in the painting stage.  Need to paint the details then give it a gloss coat for the decals.  I totally forgot the decals on the Kettenkraftrad and I don't feel like adding them now.

Assembly on the Kubel is almost complete.  I tacked the wheels on to make sure they sat level and now I can't get one of them off.  Once I figure that out its going to the paint booth.

Looking good on all. As for the wheel on the Kubel, just wrap some aluminum foil around it to mask it and shoot away!

Great little vehicles Bufflehead...I had a bit of a success in Braille scale yesterday...after 6+ months of starts and stops, I finally finished the 1/72 Helix B Russian Navy helicopter that's been 'in progress' in my signature block. I've started and stopped this one in favour of about 6 other GBs. This one never made it to a GB as it was too built...but, it would have been at home here. Anyway, just wanted to share this one as it's an excellent kit (Hobby Boss) and I highly recommend it to Helicopter guys. Anyway, here's a shot of it. Cheers!

Thanks guys...Duke, she's quite a challenge. VERY fiddly landing gear and weapons pylons. Very well engineered, so, it went well. I enjoyed Hobby Boss so much that I want more Russian helos soon.

Gentlemen (cough, cough) i think it's time for another OTS (One True Scale, ie 1/72) build. since the last one went well i will host this. same rules  but up to 50% completion because i know some folks are working on other GBs and i have been somewhat absent for the past few months.

i have a bunch of JGSDF and BdW stuff.

Sweet! I'm in! I'll start right after the Nationals. I might even start one of my newest acquisitions from the Nationals too. Just leave us a link here to get to the new 2015 OTS Group Build.

will do. seems my first GB host OTS had a lot of entries completions and some multiple entries even though my 2nd GB one, sci fi, is ready to end. (didn't do as well managing that one). but i digress.

given i took a first in Korea and earlier and a first in post Korea/modern in OTS at region 10 i should pursue this more. right now i am looking at a JGSDF fuel bowser, qn atomic cannon, and SCUD for new GBs so i can roll them over.

i'll look at a start date after nationals which i won't be attending but will have someone take my ww1 tank.

Sounds like a plan. I'm also doing the Atomic Annie and I hope to be done with it soon. We'll see.
