I would be interested with a 2015 start date-gives me time to meet some other commitments.

I would very much be interested in this in the coming year. I love VVS subjects and have a few in thebstash to choose from.

I have sought guidance/advice from another source and have decided to postpone it until 2015. let me just put out a feeler and see what kind of interest I can garner in order to start it next year. I will post a new thread for that.

Bish
I'll second gamera here. I would love to join in, but there are just so many GB's going on at the moment.

Ditto  IMHO, there should be a limit on the number of active GBs.

....and that's my 2 cents Dirham worth. Huh?

Zvezda 1980 - since this is my first GB I will allow those as well. Glad to have you join us.

Bish - what if I pushed the end date to December 2015 would this bring more interests to this GB?

I'll second gamera here. I would love to join in, but there are just so many GB's going on at the moment.

And I hope this isn't taken in the wrong way as I don't want to preach or tell others how to do things, but in my experience and observations, GB's tend to do better if they are well planned out with a decent lead into it and a set end date. And its often better to have a feeler thread as the build can be tweaked and maybe the dates altered then. It just looks better.

Also such wide ranging GB';s don't always work, though of course there are exceptions, such as the D-Day. But generally speaking, if its narrowed down to armour or aircraft etc, it seems to do better.

Well, that's just my 2 cents for what its worth.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

I like your idea here but I'm in so many GBs right now I can't see springing for another. Kinda sucks since I do have a JS-II/IS-2 and a few other Soviet subjects that would fit right in.

Best of luck!

This is a highly interesting GB my friend.

Count me in for sure with at least one kit (TBD).

Just some clarifying questions:

This GB will cover only the German and Russian rivals as you mention? Finnish, Romanian, Hungarian, Italian, etc Eastern Front subjects will be accepted?

This GB will be dedicated exclusively to the period from the German Invasion of 22 June 1941 until V.E day of 09 May 1945, or will it also cover other conflicts (winter war with Finland 1939-1940, Soviet conquest of Poland and the Baltic states in 1939/1940, etc)?

Finally this will be dedicated exclusively to the European theater of operations or can it also include soviet subjects from what the Soviets called Eastern Front (Battles of Khalkhin Gol 1939, Manchuria Invasion 1945)?

Either way thumps up for your idea.

Friendly regards

As per response to Josiah, I have to agree with him. 2 months is not long enough. Therefore, I have decided to run this GB until July 2015.

2 months? It's hard enough for me to finish a kit in 2 months, let alone with the few other builds I have already going on. Sorry

This is my first attempt of starting a different kind of World War 2 Group Build. This group build will commence on July 13, 2014.

Criteria for this Group Build:

It can be anything (German or Russian) in any scale be it armour, aircraft, figures, etc...

Crossover builds are welcome  (No previuosly finished kits from previous builds please.)

Any interested parties, please post here with the kit(s) of your choice.
