No worries the Sim. My own build lost steam and was sidelined as well. I'll get it done one of these days and post the pics here. Just too much life going on the past six months.

Wow All the builds turned out great!!! I apologise for having to miss outSad back in September I had to make a hasty move and the entire stash was packed up. Still havent found where the Mudhen is hiding but will place that one on the back burner for the time being till the need arises for it's service. Thanks for including me anywayBow Down

Well, she's done. I didn't weather it too much because I built it for my brother and he wanted a pretty clean build. I had an OK exerience with the kit. Most parts fit together well enough except for the side skirts. It was also really annoying filling the gazillion sink marks all over every small part. Here is A-66 of the 3rd Battalion, 67th Armored Regiment, 2nd Armor Division in Operation Desert Storm. This was a little bittersweet for me as this will be my last build until we are able to sell our current house and get moved into a bigger home. I'll still be lurking around here until I can start building again.

How do I add the Group build badge to my profile?

you add the graphic in the profile just like any graphic you postewd in the forum [img} tag usually. HERE'S THE RUB.

assuming you have multiple badges you have to open a graphics program like photoshop (but you don't need anything that pricey), add your badge to it, save it, export it, put it into phbotobucket or whatever and add the [IMG] to the profile.

when you earn another badg., open the BADGES graphic file, add the new badge and place it where you want it, crop, save, export, upload, add new [IMG] to profile.

easier than it sounds/

Thanks Stik for starting an awesome group build (which was my first Group Build I have participated in, but not my last!). I understand about real life getting in the way of building I havent had alot of time myself lately for bench time due to real life issue.

To the rest of you, I will see you around the board.

I wish to apologise to everyone for joining this GB then dropping the ball.

This is not my M.O., it just happened.

Thanks Stik and Bish for a great GB.

Sorry to hear you won't be hosting a GB any time soon Stik, but I can't say I blame you.

Looks really good Ghostrider!

I did a pinwash and I really like how it turned out.  Unfortunately I ran out of dullcote and I won't be able to pick any up until after the weekend.  Barring anything unfortunate I should be done by the end of the month.

as promised, here's some pics of the model, as complete as I can get it until that DRA shows up.

Thanks to Stik and Bish for hosting this GB, and bravo-zulu to everyone who participated!

Thanks for running this Stik, and sorry I wasn't able to finish in time. I'm hoping to have it wrapped up by the end of the month at the latest.

Well, it is now March 16 and this GB is now officially closed. Thank you to all who have participated, if your build was completed or not. For those who have not completed their projects, finish up when you can and please share your work here. I will put any completed builds shared here onto the front page with the rest.

Due to changes in the forum primarily, and a very busy real life for me currently, this will be the last GB that I host on here at FSM for the forseeable future. Thank you one and all who participated and a big thank you to Bish for his help in keeping this thing going. I am truly grateful.

While I'm waiting for the decals to set, I moved onto the ordinance. Still haven't gotten the DRA I ordered from Luckymodel, so I guess I'll have to leave the heaters off for now.

Otherwise, I'm mounting pairs of mk. 82 Snake-eyes on TERs on the inboard wing stations, pairs of mavericks on LAU-88s on the mid wing stations and an ECM on the outboard station opposite the missing DRA, and a fuel tank on the center-line station. From my research that seems to be a standard Desert Storm loadout.

I'm using the Hasegawa weapons sets A & C, for the load, so I had to do some minor surgery on the pylons to fit the non-stock racks, but interestingly enough, while I was trying to line up the locator pins for the LAU-88s, I noticed that the stock pins don't line up either.  I had to double check to make sure I was using the right ones.

By the way, does anyone have a badge for this GB?  I looked at the first post and didn't see one.

Thanks guys. I've started on the pin wash and am a little over half way done. When I started I thought I'd easily make the deadline, but my wife's work increased and we're going to try and sell our house and move. It's never fun when real life gets in the way of bench time.

Looking real good guys! Keep it up. Tomorrow is the official end date. But if you cant make that deadline, finish it when you can and share the completion work here anyways.

Ok, down to the wire here, but the last of the decals are in place, I just need to wait for them to set and I can dullcoat it.

Your Warthog is looking pretty good.  I've gotten paint on the tank, wheels, and tracks.  I still need to do some drybrushing for the details though.  I also got some bits and bobs put on and gloss coated and applied decals.  This is taking me way too long.  Part of it is that I put off painting all those wheels and the tracks, it's way too repetitive for me.

I know, painting the thirty-odd wheels on an Abrams can be a chore.  Having painted two M1s and a number of other tanks and tracks now, I've had to figure out a few shortcuts here and there.
