Star Wars GB Ep III
Posted by Bish on Saturday, November 19, 2016 11:08 AM

Welcome to the next of our Star wars GB's to lead us up to the release of the next Star wars movie. This year of course, we have 2 movies to look forward to. Rouge One due for release on Dec 15th 2016 and Ep VIII (un-named at time of posting) on Dec 15th 2017.

So, this year, the GB will run between those dates.

So, for those new to the forum or who just didn't take part last time and wished they had as well as those who did and have just forgotten, heres the rules.

1) GB is open to any build from any of the Star Wars Universe as well as your own Star wars inspired designs.

2) Construction begins Dec 15th. If you have a build you have just stared and want to enter

 PUT IT DOWN NOW

and you can still enter it. GB ends Dec 15th 2017, but of course feel free to carry on builder after that. The most important one

3) The most important one, post plenty of pics.

4) Have plenty of fun.

Sign up any time from now.

And this is your reward for all your effort.

So, which ever faction you side with, bring your build along. Though of course, if your not in the Empire, it will be noticed.

Not that i am biased or anything.

Well, I wish the Bandai kits were in 1/48th, my eyes don't calibrate that well to 1/72nd these days... But I keep hearing great things about them so what the hey, I went ahead and ordered the A-Wing and X-Wing. I should have them by the time I get back from my vacation/holiday.

I know I'll be in, just not sure with what yet. My wife is telling me I should build my AMT Snowspeeder because I did the AT-AT for the last one.

A few years ago some of my students got me the Anakin/Episodes IV and V Luke set. They work pretty well for Sushi, but not so much for General Tso's Chicken. I'm still mulling things around for what I want to build. My mind has been wandering thinking about bringing an X-Wing from my childhood back from the dead...

Don't judge me, but I just picked up a Revell Darth Vader TIE Advance fighter from the clearance aisle at Hobby Lobby yesterday. It was originally $39.99 but on sale for $8.63 (such a random price). The last time I built Vader's TIE was ages ago with the old MPC kit. I will join and slap together this kid's kit, but I will probably paint it.

Yeah!!! The next SW GB is almost here! I would like to join up also. I have two ships that I am considering, either the TIE Defender in 1/48 scale or the Consular class cruiser in 1/350 scale. Hmmm, decisions, decisions. Any preference from you guys? Let me know what you think.

I'm not going to be any help here because I think both subjects are very cool! I checked the SM website and both are sold out. Damn! But, I guess, if I was going to purchase one, I'd pick the TIE Defender first.

Hey guys, not to be a troublemaker but Zvesda has just released a 24" Star Destroyer.  No in-scale Blockade Runner or Falcon in the box (you know Bandai would have), but hey it's a serious ISD kit.  Every Imperial Household should have one.  Prices are all over the place on auction sites, from around $100 to $150, but if you are serious about imposing Imperial rule and spreading fear across the galaxy...

Is it finally out, saw a post on it last month. I believe Revell are meant to be re-boxing it for wider release. I don't think i will hasve one for this GB, but i hope someone does.
