This could be interesting.  I have just the kit in my stash for this build.  It's a Tameo 1/43 Tyrrell 006. Probably they same amount of detail as a 1/20, but about half the size.  Bought it 10-15 years ago, been scared of it ever since.

Yup, sometimes all that is needed is a "shove into the deep end"  to find out you are actually a good swimmer ;-)

Sounds great!  I'll figure out which ship to do if htis goes down.  I'll be asking a lot of questions if I do this!  LOL!  But like you said, out of the comfort zone we go!

Cool, welcome.

I hope to get say another 5 or so people onboard and will then start the real thread.

I think we sometimes get so "comfortable" with what we do we might not think of trying some other or new subject.

I know in my case it is because I know what I model as I work on aircraft but have never done cars as I know very little about them.... besides I looked at how much work they are I decided I "dont like them" LOL

I spens a few years in the military and have a basic idea of what armour and artilary looks like so I will start off with this.

Stay tuned for my post when this kickes off.

Hey Theuns,  interesting concept for a GB.  Made me think...I've got about a dozen ships in my stash.  Subs, carriers, Titanic, Steam ships.  I could jump in on this one.

I was given a 1/35 Tamiya German Flakvierling 36 recently.

I have never built any thing like this, I usually do aircraft.

This gave me an idea - why not have a GP where we build something we dont usually "dabble in"

It might get us out of our "comfort zone" to learn something new.

I think a 3 month run say from 1 Feb '17 to end Apryl'17 should be OK.
