stikpusher Is this still going to happen?
Is this still going to happen?
Absolutely! This year is really getting away from me already. I'll get the build thread up within a couple days, and it'll run 3/1/20 through 3/1/21.

I'd like to enter this one, it sounds interesting.
Cheers

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.
I'd be in also. Sounds like it would have a nice veriety of builds in it.
On Ed's bench, ???
Hey Robert, I am interested in this GB, I have several airplanes that may fit the bill, as well as a ship model for a change of pace.
I would love to be able to make my own decals but my computer skills are limited to forum work only ;-(

Sure, crossovers would be fine.
I also envision making the build a challenge by building a subject outside the normal area of expertise, but that would by no means be a requirement.
I may be overcommitting myself for next year, but I'm game.
Will you be allowing crossovers from other GBs?
Theuns But masking the decals to be all grey as well puts me off :-(

You can scan the decal sheets into a computer and use some basic program to convert to greyscale and print your own versions on some white decal paper.
I have had an idea for some time now to do a model as if it is a black and white photo with all greys like "olde photo'' but then the ired of masking the decals to be all grey aswell puts me off :-(
A lot of choices than can be painted aircraft gray. Sounds interesting.

Oh what the heck I've already overdone it for next year what's one more. I'm sure I can find something
I can tag along. I have an A-10 and an F-18 and I may end up with a Panzer before too long. So, I'm sure I can come up with something. I probably have a kit that would work that I forgot I even have.

On the bench:
A lot !! And I mean A LOT!!
2024 Kits on deck / in process / completed

Clever idea. There's a problem though... I can't remember the last model I built that wasn't gray!
I guess this dude...
I'll watch this one.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
So this isn’t a 90mm Phoenix Follies figures GB?
We shall see if my hobby bench is up and running when this starts... I have plenty of grays in my stash and this sounds up my alley..
That sounds interesting.
Never give up, never quit, never stop modelling.
This is different. I already have a Harrier GR.9 in the pipeline for next year, that would deffinetly fit. I'll be in.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
What the heck, I'm in. Even know what I'll build if this thing takes off.
Buddy- Those who say there are no stupid questions have never worked in customer service.
I've been envisioning a group build based on a play of words of the recent ladies' novel/movie series title. Instead of romance though, I am thinking that the subject matter must be something of a predominantlty gray scheme. Be it a modern aircraft, a post-war naval ship, a German tank in Panzer Gray, a light gray civilian vehicle, or even a figure of a Confederate or Wehrmacht soldier.
Really anything goes, as long as it is primarily a shade of gray.
If there is any interest, I'm thinking of a March start date, so as to not interfere with any other GB's kicking off in January, and with the usual 12 month window for completion
