Would there be interest in a CAS group build?  There hasn't been one of these for a while and was wondering if there would be some interest.  Range of aircraft goes from the kites of WWI to the jets of today.  Strategic bombers are out, unless you're building a current B-1 with the appropriate pods for precision guided munitions.  Fighter versions of aircraft aren't allowed, but load her up with bombs/and or rockets and she's good to go.  Dedicated attack aircraft definitely allowed.  Attack helos definitely allowed.  Gunships also.  A couple of lists to go by.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_attack_aircraft

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_helicopter

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gunship

If there's enough interest, figure a start date in January.

Not much of a plane builder but I might have to give it a go for this GB.

I've got several in the stash that qualify. The January start date sounds good.

This is looking up.  Bish and a Stuka, who would've guessed.Big Smile

John,

I've heard good things about the Zvezda Hind in 1/72.  Don't know about the other scales.

TJ,

Would the Tiffie be prop or jet?  Don't believe I've seen a modern Tiffie loaded with big things that go boom.

Keyserj,

Always good to step outside your comfort zone.

Cbaltrin,

I tend to have that problem too.  Even my own builds sometimes.

Learmech,

The big one, sounds like fun.

Mrmike,

Look forward to seeing what comes out of your stash.

G,

Israeli I take it?

This is looking promising.  Hopefully we'll get some more like minded souls on board.

I just picked up some A-10s last week and might have a few Apache helicopters if those are allowed.

On Ed's bench, ???

Sure, I have a couple 1/72 kits near the top that would fit the GB.

Always happy to have another divine scale builder along.

Chad,

I have faith in you.

Armornut,

There's plenty of time to acquire one.

PJ,

I look forward to your build.

Thanks lewbud. I think I will go with a 1/48 Revell F-84G that looks very nice in the box along with some VERY colorful am decals I have.

I would  be interested. I have a  Cobra, an A-10 and an Av-8A. One of those should work.

Mark aka Tomcat

On the workbench: Monogram 1/24 '69 Pontiac GTO and a Monogram 1/67 (box scale) B-26 Invader

Lewbud,

Not sure how these group builds work.  Can two participants build the same aircraft type?  Just wondering, because the Su-25 has already been mentioned by Armornut, and I have one on its way from China that should be here in December.

If I may answer that, it doesn't matter if several participants are working on a similar model.

Tomcat,

One or all of those would work.

PhilliePhan,

You've got plenty of time to get something.

Eagle,

As plasticjunkie said it doesn't matter.  Build what you want as long as it falls within the parameters of the build.

Hey Lewbud, I would like to be a part of this as I'm new to the forums and have not yet participated in a GB. A question for you though. Being an Australian I would like to build the Boomerang. It was initially built as a stop gap fighter, but had no chance against Japanese fighters and was re-designated as a ground attack aircraft. Its not on the list and I'll have to do some research to see if it carried bombs. However, if this is not acceptable I'm happy to build a Stuka or some such.

I long to live in a world where chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned
