Thanks Bob, I've updated the Roster!
keavdog Looks awesome. I've been seeing these kits for reasonable prices on ebay and such - I wonder if they or round-2 will be re-releasing. Nice job matching the box art ;)

Thank you John.
These kits are plentiful and available at some fair prices-throw in a set of Indycal decals and you're in business-plenty of opportunities to add a lot of detailing if desired. Will be interesting to see if Round 2 does reissue.
Bob
bobbaily Thank you cbaltrin. Fun to finally get this one finished. Let me take a better pic tomorrow & get it posted. My cat read your suggestion on how to find the missing part...

Great, I'll wait for your picture!
Thanks,
John
Look great Bob! Better water-board your cat until he/she fesses up to where that lost part is.
In the mean while ,which photo do you want me to use for the wall? #3 or will you be providing a new wall photo?
Done...less the one missing rear wing support-was still attached to the sprue, in the box and I don't know if I tossed it while doing some clean-up yesterday or if my cat has listed it on his eBay site...
Anyway, I did get everything buttoned up today-left off the mirrors-they need a small piece of a needle inserted in order to hold them to the windscreen. Played around and was able to get the turbo/waste gate exhaust to look correct on the cowling side-not attached to the turbo so the engine cowling is glued on...
Before cowling attached:
Close-up of the engine bay-a lot of room for detailing, if desired-may try that on my next AMT IndyCar kit.
With engine cowling & (one) wing support attached
On display on top of my Firestone Racing hat with signatures of the four Penske drivers from the 2022 season-our neighbor was a Bridgestone/Firestone employee on the event planning side of IndyCar and she was nice enough to snag me a hat.
cbaltrin-thank you for letting me hang out here-followed everyone's builds last year-some great work by all involved.
Cheers!
edit-FWIW, the picture on the box shows only one wing support on the real thing-
Did not get much done today-fought with the fit today-picked up some clamps & super glue-that's where we are today:
Got the engine settled in so the upper cowling fits-once I get the exhaust & waste gate ported I figure I'll seal up the cowling-so much left undone on the exhaust/turbo plumbing that I really need the instructions to sort out.
Needless to say-missed a deadline....again...
Up close & personal, I see the areas that need attention-I'm using this kit as a 'learner' for the AMT Mario Andretti Lola Indy Car future build-word is that there may be an 'open wheel racer' GB in the works....
Man that's looking soooo sharp!
Thanks cbaltrin.
Didn't get to spend as much time today on the car but I was able to get the interior into the front cowling with a somewhat ok fit-had to sand probably a 1/16-1/8" off the bottom of the cockpit but it's all good. the front upper cowling isn't a great fit witht the lower body-I will be going to Home Depot tomorrow for some Locktite super glue and some more (larger) rubber coated clamps (like on the nose)-thought I had both but couldn't find them....the engine and rear cowling cover are dry fit at this point. Think I may have the turbo & exhaust sorted out-will figure that one out tomorrow. Hope to get it finished up tomorrow.
Looks really sharp Bob!
Made some progress today. I had assembled the engine late last week (less the turbo & wastegate/exhaust-more on that after I get finished) and painted the balance of the small parts.
Today I worked on the suspension and interior. Here's the dry fit of the engine/transaxle & tub:
Body & tub alone-dry fits nicely...for now...
Dryfit of interior tub/fuel cell and cowling-think it's gonna take some tweaking to get a good fit.
Engine & transaxle alone:
Dryfit of all the body parts-again, gonna take some effort:
Did find a good picture of the exhaust plumbing on the Unser March 86C-just gonna be a matter of finding the pieces in the kit to make the exhast and waste gate come out of the opening on the rear cowling....or get creative.
Bring A Trailer is a dangerouse site! I've been tempted soooo many times.
Ed-Thanks for the suggestion. I had checked early on but upon your suggestion, I checked again in hopes that it had been added....but it hasn't. Nice reminder of some of the AMT auto kits sold over the years.
John-took your advice and sent a request to a seller on eBay-their kit was unsealed so fingers crossed.
Did find a couple of auction web sites (Bring a Trailer being my favorite) that have a lot of pics-might be helpful but the turbo plumbing is well hidden. Will figure something out with the left over exhaust system parts....
Bob, did you check the Round 2 web site? They have a bunch of instruction sheets listed for AMT and PMC kits.
On Ed's bench, ???
Love the Super Bee! A freind down the street from be bought one like that from the original owner back in the 80s. It was black with white interior but you could see the originalgreen under the black where it chiped off.
Thanks John-and thanks for the advice regarding the instruction sheets. I'm going to attempt to get the engine and suspension together tomorrow-see where we are after that.
Looks like nice paint! The exhaust and turbos can be challenging but the rest of these kits tend to go together the same. There's a couple for sale on ebay - maybe you can ping a seller and ask for a copy of the instruction sheet.
Great -- look forward to seeing this!
Hi Cbaltrin-Should be able to get it finished on or by 31st...anyway, here is the target:
Here is the current status:
And here is the biggest challenge:
The kit was an eBay purchase and arrived with no instructions. Closest I could find on the internet was the AMT March 88C Kraco kit-'almost' identical but with enough differences that I'm sure I'll be doing searchs. FWIW, the kit was started for the 2021 'Welcome to the 80s Group Build'
Hi Bob, the GB actually ends on the 31st of this month. I guess we can consider that a deadline for entry though . Try your best to finish this year !
bobbaily Very nice build on the Super Bee-looks like it's fresh off the show room floor. Figure it's time to commit to starting (and finishing) a 'Work in Progress"-pulled out the AMT Cummins March 86C Indy Car from the '80 Group Build". Will post 'as is' pics later today.

The Super Bee has crossed the finish line! I gave up using the resin wheels -- maybe next time. Added plug wires, door handles and seat belts. Painted with MCW Limelight Metallic.
The Super Bee is nearing the finish line..
Wow, that was fast fxsti03-42! Your Skyraider looks great. I'll add you to the roster!
@cbaltrin
I posted this yesterday, but it still hasn't shown up. So I don't know if it's lost or what. But I finished the A-1H Skyraider.
