I havnt seen a general auto buld in a while and the GBs are getting a bit thin. I also have a bunch of cars I need to get started on.
These are the only rules,
I'm not sure how much time I'll be able commit to this but I'll try.
On Ed's bench, ???
Build list:
68Gt - 1/25 Revell 1999 Ford Lightning.
bobbaily - TBD
Seven - TBD
jeaton01 - TBD
SteveCB - AMT 1937 Chevy coupe
Glamdring - Rye Field's 1/35 Joint Light Tactical Vehicle
I'm going to be starting with this Revell 1999 Ford Lightning.
Ed-looks interesting. One question (for now...)-are cross overs allowed? I've got a couple of Japanese autos that I'm thinking of using for the Japanese GB.
If not, no problem-I have plenty of autos that will fit the bill.
Thanks
Bob
"One question (for now...)-are cross overs allowed?"
YES!
Please sign me up, Ed! Its been a while since I've finished a road car. Probably go with this one
Jim
I'll be in with a Kenworth or Peterbilt.
Jim, I'm in Woodland,near you.

Definitely want to build another auto this year. Just about to finish up my MPC 1970 Super Bee and I may want to build a second in close succession before I forget all the things that needs fixed with the kit or that I could improve upon. Also have a Monogram 1/48 71 Plymouth GTX I want to get built. GTX seems like an easier build though, so I guess just put me down with the Plymouth for now.
On the Bench: Too Much
John, we are practically neighbors! I do a lot of HVAC work in Woodland...Engstrom Properties, Palm Gardens senior home, Hotel Woodland to name a few. Lovely city. Visited your website, impressive models & website!
And so it begins!
Does it have to be a new build, or can it be started?
We'll have to get together some time, Jim. Let me know when you are in town.
Got a color scheme picked out Ed? Good to see this underway!
jeaton01 We'll have to get together some time, Jim. Let me know when you are in town.
Sounds good John, will do!
SteveCB Does it have to be a new build, or can it be started?
New builds are always better, but if you have something in the works let's see it. I only have a few rules to get some people building in here and be no pressure.
Seven Got a color scheme picked out Ed?
Got a color scheme picked out Ed?
I've always liked True Blue but I'm not getting a blue to turn out the way I want it. Dark Shadow Gray is also a possibility since Gravity Colors has Magnetic and Liquid Gray.
Ed, is this civilian vehicles only, or are military trucks or cars allowed?
I have both in the stash of couse, but was planning on a gun truck and one of ICM's WW1 Model T kits later in the year.
Robert
"I can't get ahead no matter how hard I try, I'm gettin' really good at barely gettin' by"
Both and since it's a truck your in!
I'll jump in. A 1937 Chevy coupe, by AMT, about one third done.
Sounds good Steve!
When anyone else narrows their build down I'll add you to the roster.
I had a change of heart and will be building this one, Ed.
Aoshima Lambo Huracan.
Fair amount of parts:
How are those kits?
I started painting parts this week.
Anybody have anything to show?
I' did some black primer after some body snading and fitting.
Looking good Ed. Glad to see someone making some progress!!
I started the Lambo but not enough to take any pics yet. Hopefully by the end of the weekend I'll have something to show.
Does it have to be 1/25, or will other scales be allowed?
Any scale!
I sprayed the Lightning with Gravity Colors Ford Magnetic Gray. 1st time using them but it sprayed well and I probably should have used a lighter color primer than black. I had a 2015 F350 that was Magnetic Gray and it was a bit different looking than my outcome.
I think that looks really sharp over the black primer, Ed. Good choice!
Picked my kit for this, Rye Field's 1/35 Joint Light Tactical Vehicle.
Hoping to get going on it over the next couple days.
Okay!
Then if it's okay this late in the game, I would like to drop in with a model, done the old way. I mean 1/32 and hand painted all the way. No Pactra(Garaunteed,No Brush Marks)So thinned Testors to the rescue!
I have started on the interior of the JLTV, mocked up for the picture. There are quite a few PE parts that go into it, these will be today's project, along with painting.
Speaking of painting, there are ZERO painting instructions, so I have been trying to track down sources and will be using a bit of creative license.
Unfortunately when I saw the plant floor in Oshkosh, I did catch a view of the finished interior.
