I have made further progress on my "Razorback". Got the basic painting done,
need to add the unit markings - gotta paint those since there are no decals
as far as I know. I also get to put the weapons system together.

I don't see why not. Just need to research the unit you want to depict.

Dude,
Found out I was wrong. While going through some material I found what was identified as a "B" from the 120th AHC that was sporting a chin turret. Sorry

You could do either with the tamiya paint.
Have fun with the Italeri kit - but the "B" never carried the chin turret as pictuered in the box art, just the "C"

I just bought my kit last night. Finally. I got the Italeri 1/72 UH-1B

Don't see why not. Generally, I think that's what is recommended but I didn't have any
so I had to use the future trick.

wibhi2, looks good, lots of detail in there. Is it 1/35?

Yep - I'd like to find another seminar B model kit. It really is a nice kit. I think I originally bought this around 95 or 96 - but quality wise, I would put this up there with MRC and the like.

There was a question back there somewhere about tinting the greenhouse windows. I did mine by mixing 6 drops green and 4 drops blue food coloring into a container of future and then dipping the windows into it. Worked like a charm after 4 or 5 dunks.

Finally got the cabin interior together. It's Seminar's UH-1B with an IP and Seats from Cobra Co's UH-1C back date set (I also used the rotor blades from thier set as the rotor blades from the kit were destroyed by the rubber pieces included. )

Here, you can see my poor attempt at trying to paint in fabric folds.

The cobra co IP is difficult to se here, but is beautifully rendered

wibhi2,
I'm thinking about doing the wash but I will have to put another gloss coat on.

All the markings are the decals that came with the kits. Thx.

Balta.....that looks marvelous. Really. You are doing a "c" mod right?
Did you hand paint "easy Rider" ? It came out just like the pictures.
I agree with AH1Wsnake about appling a wash to bring out the detail.

Keep up the excellant work

I still have to tint the top windows which is may main concern now as I have never done it before. I still need to have a couple more models under my belt before I try some good exterior weathering.

For the upper tinted windows, I recommend purchasing a bottle of Tamiya 'clear green' if you haven't already. Just apply it right onto the clear styrene, works great. I see from your photos that you have some pretty good exterior detail. If you're not up for weathering, maybe just a simple wash would help bring that out. Good luck with it either way, and post some finished product pics!

Looking very good, balta. Nice solid build. Will you be doing any weathering?

Well here she is after the future, decals, future and dullcoat routine. I should be completely done by the end of this week.

Lee,
If I ain't mistaken you can make them out of styrene rod and sheet. I think Cobra Co. makes these types of seats in a back date set.

Balta: your huey looks real good

I haven't forgotten - I've been bad and allowed other projects take precedent.

Well... it's been a long time time since I've been here but it feels good to be back!! I haven't been around due to spending too much time at work and some things at home. Now that I'm back it's time to get back into the GB's I have left unfinished.
Here's an update on my Huey, I just have to future it and put some decals on it and it's done!!
