Basically, unless you set some basic rules, it's anything goes within the confines of the theme. Yeah, I don't mind forking out for the Italeri kits either. You certainly get a lot in the box and they yield some beautiful models. The detail is simply amazing!

I just got one for Christmas, and as soon as I finish my Paystar dump I will start on the Astro. I rember building one when I was a kid, hope to do a better job this time around..

That's a beautiful Aussie W-Star you have there Spitfire! I love building trucks as well and have three trucks that are in progress. I really like the look of Australian trucks and want to add a model of one to my collection. If you want to get a Truck GB going in the near future, I'll hold off starting my Revell Germany T-900 "Australia" until then. So count me in.

Yes, trucks are a somewhat more difficult build. Keeping the frame straight and getting all ten tires to touch the ground is not always an easy task! Also, working with gloss paints is not as easy as flats. To top it off, in my area, Italeri truck kits start at C$65-70. So they can be hard on the wallet as well.

Yes if you opened it up to all scales then I'd be in as well.

I think there's a quite a few people out the who would like to build one but they shy away because they take a bit more time and effort (my opinion anyway). as zokissima has stated that the price of some of these kit are crazy as well.

I have a western star Aussie truck to do yet so if you are going to start a truck group build I am intrested ..

I've yet to build a single 1/24 truck. Some of the kits I see are very nice, but not that friendly on price.
I definitely don't see too many people building these things.
