I would be in this one, got lots of time before it starts! I think I already have my plane picked out p-59 with Tex Hill's markings when he commanded the 412 FG.

TOPIC: GROUP BUILD "FIRST JETS"

Yes another Censored [censored] Build, however, this one will be a late year venture. I figure starting after The Pearl Harbor Group Build completes on 7 December. It will be open for at least 6 months. All scales, all the PE and AM your budget and patience can handle. Scratchbuilds are welcome. Military AND airlinersSmile [:)] (just to spice it up a bit).

All of the first jet types (ME 262, F80, Meteor's, Yaks etc., etc.) are in for this one, not only the prototypes but all the way out to the final operational versions.

Getting it out now so we can get maximum participation on this one...Any suggestions or questions lets here them...

Joe,

Of course I'm in as well, as long as it is later in the year as I am already in 2 as it is!

Hi Joe, I've got a couple of kits that would fit the bill nicely for either options 1 or 2. If you end up going that way and the timing is right (end of the year), I'd certainly be interested.

Cheers

Planning Stages Only !!! {I know everyone is heavy right now on builds}

Over on the OOTB GB there has been some conversation on this, it has gotten to the point where it should have it's own thread, here is a synopsis;

All Scales
All AM or PE
Military Birds Only

The following were some of the thoughts for a build and how they progressed to be inclusive...

1.) The very first jets, i.e. Heinkels, Gloster Pioneers, Bell Airacomets etc.

2.) Include early jet fighters in all of thier thier mutations, i.e. P80's and T33's

3.) First AND Last type build. The very first A4 and some one else do the very last operational A4. There was a suggestion to "team" up and have say, X do the first ME262 and Y do the last operational of the same type, this does not seem to be workable.

Personally, in the third version the GB developed into an interesting idea, First & Last...

Start time...way later in this year for sure...

Any input out there...?
