group build for the nam era U.S. Navy swift patrol boat
Posted by jinithith2 on Monday, April 18, 2005 3:28 PM
hello,
I just wrecked my swift patrol boat really bad so I had to order replacement parts. don't worry I'm back to 0% done and this is my first group build.

since there is only one kit out of the SPB, I'd like to share the pain and agony with other people!Evil [}:)]
the rules,
it can already be started, but not like 80% done.
anybody allowed
posting pics not required
must share problems (that one is sorta wierd)

date: April 18 to whenever!

participating members-
jinithith2

IronBrigade

com'mon people, let me see some spirit!

GB badge:

sorry.. the group build badge is cheesy and corny

maybe you should try to widen out the dates? most people are busy with other GB's right now... if you allow more time maybe it will attract more customers?

---edit---

also it took me about a week to get more than 4 people into tje Midway GB... you just have to have patience...
---Tom--- O' brave new world, That has such people in it!

i cant commit to this build...im getting ready to start a few other kits first..plus im in the pearl harbor build, building the Zuikaku carrier..i dont like starting too many projects at once..it makes me feel rushed...plus with the weather being so nice out, i spend alot of my time with my fiance and my 18 month old son...Tongue [:P]

Big Smile [:D] hi,what kind of glue are you useing,i use the tester model cement, you know not the kind in the tube, but the kind in the bottel.and you dont have to sand it.it works realy good, then you just paint over it.i will start on the pibber this weekend.so you have a good day modeling.Big Smile [:D]

I use the bottle kind, but for gap filling, I use the tube, as my putty doesn't have that good of a filling characteristic

Big Smile [:D] hi you should try useing your putty and mix a little bit of your glue with it,it will help to fill the gaps and you dont hav to sand it. i have done that with some of my kits,it work well.Big Smile [:D]
