They did paint up an Alphajet in a similar scheme a good few (10?) years ago. This is my attempt at a 1/72 model of it, accounting for really poor photography, dead bugs in the attic, and missing wheels for some reason.

If you want to confuse the issue...

Hmmm, Hunter, Magister, now Alpha Jet, It seems like a nice theme to do. I did email DACO regarding the Magister, but no reply as yet. THere did seem to be a couple of refreences to it on the net when I googled it, but nothing on their website. I'll keep trying anyway.
I have a Heller Alpha Jet, but not a Magister (yet).
Thanks for the help.

Seems really silent here, I just came in to report "no progress", but also to ask a really really stupid question...   what F-16 are we using, is it the A or C (I know we have a couple of twinseater B's as well)

Anyway, going to pick up building on the Falcon very soon now.

As I said..... really silent here

Hey Dany,

I beleive our airforce uses the F-16 A. But now they are updated with the Mid-Life-Update program. The Belgian F-16's are now ( or should be ) superior against the USAF ones.

Yes, you're right, very silent here.... Lets change that !

Cheers,

Well, the Academy is off Sad [:(]
Anyway, I already figured it was the "A"Plus, and I really wanted a Hasegawa, however, they don't make the "A" anymore, so I ordered the C instead, hoping to be able to use the avionics thing from my wasted Academy wreck, and hoping that's the only visiual difference between the two.

Hey Dany,

There are some AM manufactureres that produce resin replacement parts to make a Belgian F-16 MLU. I'll look it up for you...

Or you could always buy the 1/72 Revell F-16 MLU ( Belgian or Dutch decals ): really nice kit...

Cheers,

Nope, no updates yet, because of the simple fact that my Hasegawa kit still hasn arrived yet, I'm starting to think they're bringing it by special courier ( by bike) all the way from Japan to Bruges Sad [:(]

However, as the deadline is getting terribly closer and closer, I will have no choice than to get a 1/72 instead.  Not exactly as I imagined what would become my first Belgian subject but alas, there is no other way to be able to finish it in time.

BTW, since the new forum software, my sig (including the badges) don't show anymore, whatever I try with the settings... any ideas ???

Hahaha, Dany... Your echo responds!!!

Yes, I know that the deathline is really close. And nobody has finished his kit yet... My Spitfire is completed, yeah, for 5%. I've only had some time to do some minor clean-up and sinkmark filling... I'm in the middle of my exams right now...

Maybe we'll just have to postpone the deathline until next year. Maybe then your kit will finally have arrived by bike... And will I have finished my Spit...

Good idea?

Regards,

Jürgen

Hi Guys,

I actually finished my Red Devils Hunter back in December, but with the new baby  didn't get around to posting any photos, so I'll rectify that in the next little while.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner! The first member of the "Belgian AF GB" that finished his model!

That looks like a darn good model you built there!!!

Really really really nice!!!

Did you give it a satin coat?

Cheers,

Jürgen

Hi Jurgen,
Thanks. Yes, it's had a satin coat. I probably wish that I gave it one more, it's just a little on the flat side.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with it..
I wouldn't mind some more small air force group builds.
Cheers

Hi Tony,

Congrats for being the first to finish your model.

That looks indeed like a nice model to me.

I couldn't tell whether the flat look was due to the model or to the photography. Anyway, it’s a job wel done.

I wish my project would be half as far yours. It’s more like the one Jürgen is building.

In my case, 5% would be a very optimistic guess.

Cheers,

Luc

I finished my F16 a while ago, (still not in time for the deathline though), however I have had some problems to get to the forum, first of all, my pc gave up, and I'm waiting for a new internetconnection, so I'm not able to post any pics yet.

BTW, the F16 I finished is not the 1/48 I was going to build, since the replacement kit arrived only a couple of days ago, I did built the Italeri 1/72 bird instead.
