Significant Other (or Junior) Group Build ! 9/1/05 to3/31/06
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 10:22 PM
I was thinking of a group build for all of our Significant Others(wife, husband, girlfreind, boyfreind or other Other means anyone.) This build will be for all types and size of model building.
I was thinking of a time frame from Sept 1, 2005 til March 31, 2006.
With is comes the rules:

Both you and your significant other or junior will build the same kit each at the same time.
Your significant other or junior does not need to be a member but would like it.
You can help each other(if needed) i.e. paint, some glue
Post pix of you and your significant other or junior working on the kits.
If you and your significant other or junior want to do a Snap-Tite, you must change the colour of the kit.
You must show Kit ID Number and kit maker.
You can use AM, PE, or Scrach in your build, one or both of you.
You Can Not Start The Build Until The Start Date.
Most of all have FUN

And here is the Badge: WITH A BIG THANKS TO YOU SARGE

It's a great idea but I have yet to meet a modeler - male or female - whose spouse was into the hobby as well. I asked my Mrs. and she smiled and said "that's your hobby".

How about a junior partner group build. Work with a younger modler (or a potential new modeler) on a subject of their choice. My 7 year old daughter is up for that.

If you dont mind my 3 year old son joining in, i might be up for this. Just warning you all, I do the trimming, and help with assembly, and he does all his own painting.
Might also be able to convince the wife too.......

INPW1 I would love for you and your wife or son join this GB. If your son joins I will not care about the colour scheme that he uses.

Pink,
put me and my wife inb for a couple of Classic Airframes Fiat C.R. 32's kit # 414-29.95 in 1/48 scale.
Her forum ID is Forgotten Duo.

We would include my son, but I dont think He is up to PE and Resin yet (they came in the box), but he is pretty talented for a three year old :D

Have to change the project due to the unavailability of two blackbirds, so put us down for two Monogram F-15C Eagles in 1/48.

O.K. since everyone is beeing shy about posting pictures, I guess I'll be the first.

this is what I have done so far, I didn't take pictures of the really cool resin and PE stuff inside, but its all good. well, here is a picture:

all coments are welcome :D not that you can see much (all the better to hide my bad modeling skills :D), even the bad ones

happy modeling

My husband (Inpw1) is well ahead of me, but he had a head start. Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg] I have to admit I used colors that I probably shouldn't have, but the cockpit looked naked without 'em. By all means, let me know what you think.
