The Years Between the Wars.....Scratchbuild
Posted by solid on Thursday, December 22, 2005 9:46 AM

Hi Guys:

I scratchbuild and I guess some of you do too.
Here is my proposal for a  Group Build.

Scratchbuilt models of any type of aircraft flown between 1919 to 1939.......
Any kind of materials can be used
No Kits of anykind
No Vacuforms
Models must be started on the start date of the build, or later.
Start date: January 15, 2006
Ending Date: October 30, 2006....

I can provide links to many Plans sites. Will make the Group Build Badge.

Let´s see it this works out......Any ideas to add????

No vac forms?  Would this include my own efforts at vac forming?

Hi Joe:
Why don´t you start a Vacform Group build???, they are great but they are not scratchbuilds, I might join too.

I am not sure I understand...if I were to make my own mold forms and vac form fromthere this would not be scratchbuilding?  No flames intended, just curious to see what the definition of "scratch" is.

Ok.........Oviously,  if you make your mold and then Vacuform it.....it is scratchbuilding since you had to make the mold....you want to do that...Its Ok with me...../ Hope I answered you question and get with the build.....What  aircraft are you thinking about entering in the build????
