The way I understand, it goes like this. A group of builders get together  and following the suggestion of one, all build something on the same theme. The idea is to share  the build with others.  Posting pictures is great, but I don't always have a camera around. Comparing your work with others seems like a good way to learn and try different techniques and ideas. Thats sort of the way I look at it though There may or may not be prizes at the end. The closed time frame, is ,I think, an incentive to stop procrastinating.

My two cents worth.

Hey! another Calgarian!  I've seen a few of us out there.  Anyway you have pretty much hit the nail on the head, but I've been involved with several and there has never been any prize at the end,Sad [:(] unless you count a finished model as a prize!Laugh [(-D]

Yes, ruddratt, GB's are a great way to meet other modelers with similar interests and most important of all, have FUN.  and about that procrastination thing, sometimes it doesn't work, other commitments and life can get in the way of models but at least it gives you motivation to try and complete and some GB's allow you to submit posts even after the completed date.

I'd join this one but I am already in 4 GB's that go through the summer and that is enough for me.

Hey guys, i just wanted to check in, and ask a question: would you be willing to let me move the start date up a little bit (Maybe end of may, early june?) I want to see if more people will join, and I'll be gone almost all of july, so I won't be able to post during that month. If you guys do or don't want to move it up, let me know.

Hi all, just wanted to say that the build is now oficially started, and I wanted to add a little progress report:

The BF-110 is now finished with major assembly/painting, and I just finished the canopy yesterday. Decals will come next, and then final assembly.I'll try to drag it out long enough so I don't have to start another build: I don't have one!

Jaypack55,

I would love to join this build, as the Luftwaffe is one of my favorite modeling subjects.  I have a couple to choose from, but if I do decied to jump in on this one I think that it would have to be a Hasagawa 1/32 Bf-109g-14 with a bunch of eduard pe and Verlinden resin bits to add in.  Right now I am in the middle of moving so do not have access to my kits.  I dont think that I'll be able to start anything until late October early November.

Would really love to join though!!! Big Smile [:D]

I'm OK with waiting for you to start, if you want to be in the build, I'll put you on the list. (I'm even willing to extend the end dates for anyone who needs it!)

Sounds great - and I see that you already have me on the list!!!  Has anyone thought of a Badge for this GB, it is one of the "prizes" that come along with being in a GB!!

I will try to figure something out over the weekend and I'll post it here for everyone's review/ critques!!!

Happy building!

Hey guys, I'm going to drop out of this GB.  I've had way too much going on and I got really backlogged on my modeling projects.  Good luck to the rest of you and I look forward to seeing your projects.  Smile [:)]
