Collector's kit GB
Posted by flippersdad on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 8:14 PM

Hello ya'll,

As I was reading through the posts I had an idea for a GB. What about a "Collector's kit" GB? I have a couple sitting on my shelf that have been callling out to me to build them, a Monogram  Rommel's Rod, a Lindberg Minesweeper, and an Aurora Gotha bomber. The rules would be fairly simple - it has to be oop and made before say 1985. It can be anything as long as it is considered a collector's kit. What do ya'll say?

Cheers,

Eric

This sounds interesting if you can get some of the collectors to actually build one of those kits. But alas, I don't have anything in my inventory of that sort.

Over the last 5 - 6 years I have purchased some kits that I had built when I was a kid with the intention of building them. I  have a Rommel's Rod that I have plans for what I am going to add to it in the way of detailing - none of which I put in as a kid.

Cheers,

Eric

H'mmmm I know I have some qualifiers. I picked up about a dozen kits a an ipms show last May from a guy selling lod kits to make money for his beginers' club. I think I have an old FockeWulf 1/24 from Monagram with the "Save your wheels" promotion.
