Well I guess I was looking for this to be of a learning tool for some of us less accomplished builders. However we could try something like building you favorite Race Car ( Ford, Porsche , Honda????), Race Driver and or maybe a Race Team! Brand of model doesn't matter .

Also I would like to ask a more experienced builder and GB leader to help out and show me the ropes in a matter of speaking.  I really have NO idea how to do all fine tuning of a GB. This is just me testing the waters if it happens great if not I can try some time in the future. Thanks for viewing

by no means am i an experienced GB leader i have only started two and they are both doing well.

all i did was pick a topic i thought alot of people would be intrested in , lay down a set of rules, times subject , what can be used and hoped people would be intrested.

if you want check out The Military Veterans GB and The In my Stash GB to get an idea of what i did.

and if you have a GB that takes off everyone is always willing to lend there thoughts and help in getting it started.

I know not a lot of info but if i can help with anything let me know.

Oops, obviously I read your thread on the auto forum first! So ignore my post there.

Except for the part to say I'll join when it's going! I'm in, just say what the criteria is and I'll get my lazy posterious parts going. And also, does just-started kits count?

Ok guys what I'll do is give it a little more thought and I will have a direction in a week or two. what I'd like to know is how many race car fans we have over here and that are willing to think about joining? And Seabee I wonder why they have never done this on F1m??talk about a good place to learn new things

Frogfoot, there's a snoozing F1 GB that's been running for a while now. It's towards the end of the page at this stage, might drop off front page during the day. We ran a WRC GB as well a year or so ago.

Think it's a good idea for Dustin to start a new race car GB, whatever the direction it goes in... Having said that, I don't have any Nascar models (not supplied over here) is it goes that way! Whistling [:-^]

I'm interested....but don't restrict it too much by limiting it to the '90s. I prefer my F1 cars with a little age on them.

As long as GB not limited to F1 or NASCAR , count me in have a rally car and a Le mans car here and HOLDEN t/k on it's way soon that can be made in to a Aussie supercar.Have

GB for a year or longer , one thing have noticed is people and new members will find build near end of build saying "wish I had found this earlier " and start showing their models so maybe open ended GB?

The other reason is I am probably the slowest builder here, sorry Seabee I'll have to take this crown (model on bench for last 2 1/2 years only 1/3 fin

Hey Shayne, nice to hear from you again!

Aussie supercars...  We get some coverage of them over here and there's some quite stunning machines. Was actually wondering a while ago whether there's not something around for them. Can you fill me in a bit?

As for the topic - I'd agree with the suggestion. I've also just started a Le Mans car, which may be suitable for this GB. By starting I mean I've just cleaned it up a bit. That was *cough* 3 weeks ago I started! Blush [:I] No I don't clean (the kits!) all that thoroughly! Still, you beat me to the crown of slow building with that effort! Wink [;)]

I'm in.  I would go for something in line with an F1 car.  As soon as I finish the McLarens for the F1 GB!  Sad story, read there for the details.  Disapprove [V]

Thinking about this , and what the hell , might as well get as many auto sports models as I can lay my grubby hands on , ie F1 , rally , Le-mans , Gt What else is there ?

Can't have to many kits ,what don't make can always sit in may ever increaseing stashWhistling [:-^]

I'll be willing to get in as long as it's not restricted to a certain type of racing. Right now I'm building a Cobra that was raced on the A production circuit, but it won't fit in this GB because I expect to be finished with it before the end of February. But if this thing is on I will definitely join.

Long time modeler, first time GB. I'm up for an auto. I've got a Williams, Lotus & F310 that need some love.

I could get behind this GB as long as we're not limited to say F1...nothing wrong with F1 just not my area of interest.

Still in here. Actually started test-fitting some of the R8 - that calls for celebration! So if that doesn't fit the criteria, I'll have to start after that only.

How 'bout we open this thing up to any race car (rally, F1, sports car, stock car, drag, off-road, etc.), any era, any scale, etc. and light this candle?  Maybe start March/April time frame?
