The In My Stash GB : Redux
Posted by kenny_conklin on Monday, November 12, 2007 7:07 PM

Well we are back for part 2 of the IMS GB. For anyone new to this build check out The In My Stash GB to get a preview of what is going on. Hopefully we will get alot of participants and great builds again. This is a unique build were we list our kits and we vote on your list as to what you are going to build.

In My Stash GB '07 - /forums/1/701837/ShowPost.aspx#701837

Only a few rules have changed for the build and the rules are as follows :

1. Any scale

2. Any Genre

3. Must be from what you have at home and not previously started

4. Diorama or Stand alone project

5. Any extras you want to put into your build

6. Pick your top 15 kits and list them on your post (post a pic also if you can )

7. Join Dates November 12, 2007 til December 26, 2007 (all lists must be in by this date)

8. Voting is from December 28, 2007 til December 31, 2007 then the polls will be closed.

9. Build runs from January 1, 2008 til June 30, 2008 (for extremely large builds extra time is no problem but please stick to the time limits.)

10. GB badge to be claimed once you have completed your build

11. pm IL2windhawk here at FSM with your email address so he can add you into the voting table.

This year we are going to change the time limit and the amount of kits to list for this GB. Because of the voting process it is easier to list your top 15 favorite rather than all 300 kits you may have.

everyone in last years GB was very helpful in running the build. Once lists are posted Sir IL (those of you new to the build will get to know him) will be making a vote table for all of us to vote on. Last year Sir IL hand counted all the votes which was an enormous help and got things kicked off in a timely manner.

We run til the day after xmas just incase you get a model for christmas that you want to add to your list of 15. Build dates and voting dates may change due to people joining in or other circumstances.

So I hope to see alot of old faces from our last build and alot of new ones to join in on the fun.

Oh man I am so in again!  I even have my 15 selected already.

I don't see any issues with the new rules, in fact I applaud them and hope these just make the build better.

How exactly do we list our stash this time around?  I know IL was kicking around a webpage idea for us to upload our list to....

Building Now:

1/48 Academy Bf-109G6 - 100%

1/48 Tamiya F4U-1A - 5%

Upcoming:

1/48 Revell F-14D

I might be in-I'll probably submit my 15 after Xmas. Maybe it would be helpful for some if a link was included to the previous build? Just to save some hunting :)

Best group build ever.  Sign me up.

NOTE: THIS TEXT HAS BEEN EDITTED, SEE MY POST ON PAGE 2 FOR DETAILS:

Sounds like I'll be running the vote again, so everyone please read the following:
In order to simplify and expidite the voting process, we will be conducting the vote
differently this year.  Basically, we'll use a computerized voting system.  If it's good
enough for the presidental elections, it's good enough for us, right? Big Smile [:D]

Please list your stash here.  Try to be as precise as you can about the kits, please
do not plan to make changes to your list after you have posted it.  That will cause
LOTS of work for me!  I'll get the system setup asap.

Here we go again!
Cheers

OK guys,

Sorry to back-track, but after messing around with the software
a litte bit, I've adjusted my strategy for managing this vote.  It will
be easier for me enter all of your kits into the online voting software
than to write some huge tutorial explaining how to do it.  I will edit
my previous post to avoid any confusion.

Please post your stash lists here!
I will input them to the voting software for you.
All you guys will have to do is vote when the time comes.

Please note: it will be of great benefit to me if you post an exact list,
not one that might change with time.  If you're still deciding which kits
will go in the list, then please wait and post until you are sure.  Thanks!

Kenny,
Are we still going to have each person vote for their top 3 favorites?
