P-38 In Tuskegee Airman Livery?
Posted by didfaI on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 3:08 PM

As some of you know, I'm in the proces of building a collection of all the T/A a/c. I'm only missing the PT-13/19 & looking for a kit?

I want to do a 'what if' for the P-38 and of coure it's going to be a 'Red Tail'; but how much red and where?Banged Head [banghead]

Suggestions?Eight Ball [8]

Maybe tails, ID marks on the side of the boom and wing tip.

David

On the bench:

1/35 Tamiya M26 Pershing-0%

1/144 Minicraft P-38J Lightning-50%

Numerous 1/35 scale figures in various stages if completion.

I was thinkin':

Maybe; outside tail fins red/inside nmf; topside elevators red/bottom nmf.

Then I get confused with the 'spar' between the tails.Banged Head [banghead]

aircraft forum, this is a group build of many people buiding models of a certain topic as opposed to a single person doing a build of a group of a certain type modelsCowboy [C):-)]

I humbly beg any one's pardon for infringing on sacred territory.Bow [bow]

I wasn't made aware of the protocol for asking questions about aircraft in any aircraft forum.

I thought that if you ask a question, anyone interested in answering would and those who didn't, wouldn't!Sign - Oops [#oops]

In the future I'll try to find the proper forum to address my quenstions.Whistling [:-^]

Banged Head [banghead]

Listen, you can post this question in the Figures forum for all any of us really care, but you probably won't get a good response.  This has nothing to do with "purists", just common sense.

Just trying to help you out.  Good luck. Thumbs Up [tup]

no offense taken, it is just that in THIS forum people that are not in that group build may not even read your post, also the guys in the winging thing forum don't all come into the group builds so the best answers would be found their, they also will be much more excited about your project. I kind of run around in many of the forums, however I do not go into the aircraft or helio forums as much. I for one would love to see you other "airman" models and some history of your project.

sometimes posts that should move to this forum say where started. {ahem, armor GB that seems to have stayed in the aromor forum Whistling [:-^]

please post your other models ok?
