Mr Hobby Color to Testors Color
Posted by SGT Reeves on Thursday, April 24, 2008 11:40 AM

I just got the Hasegawa P-38J but my problem lies in the paint scheme. Is there a color convesrion chart from Mr. Color or Aqueous Hobbycolor to Testors? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You will get better results if you post this to the Aircraft part of the forum.  Welcome aboard!

Jonathan-try this.  Click on the approriate FS 595b std (enamel or acrylic) and hopefully this will help.  There is also a color conversion chart buried somewhere on the IPMS Stockholm web site, but I'm not sure where.  You may want to post on the Paint & Airbrush forum also.

Hooah Sgt!  I see you are also an MP.  I was, then I switched to aviation.  I'm very fond of Ft. Rucker, hell of a lot nicer than Leonard Wood.

Anyway, here is the link for the gunze Sangyo chart on the IPMS Stockholm website.

I prefer this site.  http://www.rlm.at/cont/thema02_e.htm     They have every paint brand there.  you can download the individual sections.  Although its not exactly a conversion chart, it allows you to look up the color code on one chart, then search for the color on another chart.  It helped me tons on my special Hobby Ro. 57bis
