Seriously,  I've been wondering where you'd gotten to with this project; but, obviously a miracle of this magnitude cannot be accomplished overnight. Beautiful paint and weathering. Needless to say, I am extremely impressed.This has to be the ultimate in creative professionalism. What an extremely fabulous investment in modeling; almost as long as WWII! (and I thought six months was long!)
 
 This is a perfect example of what I believe; patience and persistence are extremely valuable tools in this hobby.

 Now, it's time for me to go and find a teeny tiny rock and crawl under it; I just hope it won't be too crowded  'cause I'll most likely run into some of my other forum friends there. If anyone beats me, I'm callin' shotgun....

Thanks Disastermaster, I didn't really want to keep posting small progression's, I'll be aiming to have the engine mounted before thet newyear, but I must admit that if it doesn't happen then I won't be crying about it.

I can go and work on other parts of the build. I trying to find the gun pic's to post as a reminder of what is done there so far.

The gun.................. I bought the brass bolts for the mantlet, cost a bundle, the screws on the gun are actual watch screws.... nearly killed me drilling theh pilot holes and placing them in. They are really tiny.......

These are older shots of the scratch built fuel cells and batteries, the batteries came in at about 240 pieces. THey too a few days to build.

hey, sfcmac, yeah I worked on tons of other stuff. I love doing science fiction models.

I only work on models about three nights a week, probably no more than about 25 hours a week. I seem to be developing Repetitive strain injuries in the arms,and some form of arthritis in some old injuries in the fingers. I did buy the trumpeteer M16 half track but I am not touching it until this is finished.

While working on this I did have an awful lot of help from the good brother Treadwell. His T34/85 has blown some major awards in his direction.

Just the most amazing commitment to excellence that I can recall! 

Can you give us some sense of scale in your next photo update? Maybe post a pic of some of pieces next to something recognizable in 1/35?

I'm sincerely curious about the sheer size of this thing?

Your T-34/76  has sure come a long way my bro!-- the pics are just beautiful. I still have all the pics from our correspondence from way back when-- I thought maybe you gave up on it (with all the great pics of your 1/35 builds being posted!!)-it does my heart good to see you back at it!!-- thanks for the nice comments on my builds, I really appreciate the plugs!!-the 2 of us have been through alot with these builds and I really enjoyed sharing back and forth--we should stay in touch more often.   I am glad you saw the pics of my Sherman--keep the pics comming-- I enjoy every one of them--your comrade, tread

Terry you know you are scaring me.  That's all some of the sickest stuff I have ever seen.  Your execution of detail is astounding.  You commitment to patience is overwheleming.

Treadwell wont like what I am about to say since he has been after me to start mine, but you have put me off it for a while.  Not in a bad way though. After seeing treads T-34/85 and Sherman and now this... I want to make a good showing. I know I don't have all the skills needed (yet...goal has been set) to produce that caliber of work.  More though I don't have that kind of patience.  (again... yet)

Please keep posting your amazing progress.

And Tread... I WILL start it one day DM... what's the coordinates of that rock so I can set it in my GPS.  Make room under there boys, I got a big ol' butt and I am comin' in.

Hi, Guys, got some more pics taken today.

Neither the engine or firewall are fixed yet. There is simply loads of piping for the front of the engine to go and the electrical system needs attention. The floor is at a very early stage of painting. I want to give the impression that dirt has fallen through the gaps in between the ammo boxes.

Well Tacobuff to tell the truth the paint I'm using is Vallejo acrylics and gamesworkshop acrylics. they do a great set of base coats which go on with one coat over autoprimer.
