Ok, went outside and took some pictures as I said I would do.

What do you think, Doog? Loos less shiny? Should I spray it?

I've never used future :)

The shine may be of the fancy wash, or it may be of the very close lighting... The problem is that I have problems with lighting.. And taking it outside is alsmot impossible nowadays in Norway... When I leave home for school, it's dark as night.. When I get home, it is so dark I can't take a photo... I only have a chance at the weekends.. I'll see if it improves it ;)

And about a dullcoat... I got Satin Varnish from Games Workshop... I'll try that in the weekend now, after I've tried taking another photo outdoor. if you don't yell out a huge "NO!!" of course! And I will try to slightly weather it once that is done.. We'll see how it turns out :)

Thanks anyways, Doog. Always nice to see the masters reply :)

Huxy, it's looking like a nice enough build, but my god--why is the tank so uber-shiny?!

Let me guess...Taped Shut [XX]Future?!

You really need to Dullcoat it, and not AFTER the weathering! That gloss is going to seriously affect your perception of your weathering progress! You need to see the weathering as applied to a nonreflective FLAT surface!

Thanks mmc :)

Yeah, the Matchbox sets under Revell label are very nice... I only got this one, but looking into getting more... Especially looking into that LRDG they have, with a Chevy truck and... was it a willys with it too? I really want that one :)

Nice build Huxy.

This was the very first model I ever built, when I was about 13 I think. It was under the Matchbox name and I remember having to ditch the bridge for some reason or otherSigh [sigh]. I have the Revell kit in the stash, I like the old Matchbox/Revell kits, especially the little dio bases they come with. I've recently built Revell's Puma and Morris C8 with 17 pounder both in 1/76, both Matchbox re-boxes.

Did a little more work.. Weathered the Churchill tank, and countinued on the bridge unit itself.. I have yet to weather the wheels and suspension on the tank, but it comes.

A Churchill Mk.III A.V.R.E Bridge laying tank. A Revell 1/76 kit that I've been working on for a while..

I haven't really been a good boy and photographed the entire building process...

First some older pictures:

And then the newer ones (From today) For a side note, it is NOT finished yet. But close! :

And the bridge... Have to fix that up too.. It just got it's first coat of paint!

And the grey base just behind the bridge is the base the tank is going to stand on once finished.

Hope you enojy, and comments are welcome as usual!
