Vassar, well done!  Love the way the green is sneaking out from under all that white.

Plus the green on the tank looks cool, too!

Looking good Vassar. I think the whitewash was very realisticly done and the weathering is spotless. I agree with the comment about the B&W photos: very, very cool.

Ok, so I had some spare time after watching some baseball today so I went and took some more pictures of my T-34.

I think these pictures finally get a good representation of the finished model.

I think the finish looks great!

Really nice shading and subtle color shifting on that finish!

Nice job Nathan. The whitewash, streaking and the mud look great.

One suggestion use some super glue to attach the tracks to the tops of the road wheels.

Alright, I got some close-ups.  They aren't the greatest but they get the point across.

I think you nailed the winter camo. And I agree with dupes about that photo.  Very nicely done all around.

First off...awesome job on the T-34.  I love it.  She's a beaut.

Next order of business: snow.  Down here in Kansas we got 18 (28 just west of me) inches dropped on us March 27th (of course the next day it was warm enough for shorts).  Just this passed Sunday I woke up to a good dusting.  Crazy weather in Spring.

This, to me, is the best of the pics...a lot to do with the perspective. Thumbs Up [tup]

Any chance we can get an indoor shot or two to check out the details? As far as I can tell it looks pretty sweet. Big Smile [:D]

From what I can see, it looks pretty good. I too would like some closer pics to see the detail clearer.

It looks pretty good from what I can tell. But, if you want more detailed/helpful comments about this build, I suggest taking some close-ups. Smile [:)]

Vassar,

I don't see any problems with your model, but man, your groundwork needs some work... Let's see:

1) Ground cover is completely out of scale - what is this guy fighting giants or something?

2) Did your tank just get 'miracled' into place, because last I checked, a tank usually leaves TRACKS in the snow...

But seriously... looks really good.  Any chance you'll be putting some figs with it?

I really like the B&W shots... Thumbs Up [tup]

Finished T-34 in winter camo
Posted by Vassar-13 on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 6:26 PM

Hey, I finished up my Dragon T-43/76 1941 model the other day.  It was a pretty good kit.  The only problem I had was with the tracks. Dragon supplied some individual link styrine tracks that I couldn't seem to get to fit right.  I tried a whitewash technique that I found here on the forums.  The pictures aren't too great because I still haven't gotten used to my new camera.  Please comment because I want to enter this into a model show coming up on the 18th.

P.S. the snow is real.  Not what I expected for a "spring" break Grumpy [|(]
