Superb work Kenny she looks cold. I have built one of these kits and I know how complex they are but at the same time so well engineered, again brilliant loooking model.

rtolotobrazil Wow! very nice weathering techniques! I'm getting my Flak ready in a few days and I really loved this weathering, could you share about the process to get this result? Thanks.

rtolotobrazil; thank you for your comments.
The weathering is done by following the advice and tips given to me and every one by all the guys on this forum.
I use coloured chalk pastels, rub them on sandpaper to get a very fine grit and mix with tupintine. There are other ways; so, do a search on the forum.
The " doog " has done a nice toot on weathering, look him up...cheers....Kenny
2 year bump!
Had one of these in my stash for a while, got it off Ebay and after seeing this I think it needs to go back as there is no way I can get close to this build

I get and build as many models as I want, and got three ex-wives to prove it... Wife #4 gave me 500.00 for m' Birthday and told not to spend it on anything BUT model stuff...

Whatever gives you that idea. This is indeed an outstanding build and really needs a dio.

Hello Don, It is my first attempt at making a tarpaulin.
I used a tissue and PVA(white wood glue) mixed with water,
1,cover the model with 'Cling Film'
2, then place the 'tissue' over the model
3, then with a soft brush paint the very thin glue over the 'tissue' and shape to suit, then leave to dry.
It's something I picked-up on this Forum, one of many tips I have found here.
I find every one here to be very helpful, thanks for your comments...Kenny
WOW!! nice 88! the paint job reminds me of ice.
Very nice.

Really, really nice work, Kenny! Looking forward to seeing the dio. But please explain how you did the tarp. That's really impressive and something that I've not been very successful in doing.

Hi Doog, I can at the moment have the breach block open or closed, just not sure about the colour.
I have just bought Tamiya's sdkfz7 8t on e-bay to go with this, so yes I do have a dio in mind.
Trouble is, I build all of my models with a dio' in mind but I have yet to do one...Kenny
Looking good Kenny! The small circular parts on the lower fender edges are the brake lights and/or reflectors depending on their positions. HTH.
As for the breech color, as an AA gun these tended to have blued steel gunmetal blocks judging from reference photos although sometimes they were also painted to match the vehicle color. The sliding breech and interior area where the shells would load and eject were chromed steel so would be a very shiny color by contrast.

WOW!
OUTSTANDING!!
I think it looks tremendous! Can you even see the breech block under there?
This is going in a diorama, right?!
I've got this far with this build, now I need your opinions and info'.
Hope the pics turn-up
I need to know are there any rear lights/reflectors on the 'limbers/chassis'
How should I finish the 'breach block', what colour?
Hope you take a look...Kenny
