That's looking FINE.  I didn't realize it was 1/48 until your last post, well done.  From a construction standpoint, it is very nice and cleanly built.

Wrestle with those wash/weathering demons, (they have been known to best me on occasion) and you are going to be cranking out museum quality pieces soon.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. Yes I did go a little heavy with the wash. I also had tried to the dot filter but was not sure how well it worked. On the next one I will go a whole alot less on the wash. The kit was a Tamiya 1/48. This was my second finished build. I have a Stug III that I had started last year but is sitting back for later. My next build is for the 1000 Roadwheels GB. I have already started on it. It is the DML #9044 DAK Pz. KWpfw. IV Ausf. F-1. I am try to step out into more complex builds.

Again thanks for all the comments, it just inspires me to improve.

Pretty cool...weathering is best done in thin layers...think about it: vehicles endure several different days of dust, rain, mud, etc...don't try to replicate that with one wash...

And what kit/scale is this?

I think it looks very sweet as a second build!!

It looks as if your wash may not be thinned enough and/or applied too heavily? You're definitely branching out quickly with your techniques application with your 2nd build, just remember that less is often more when it comes to these types of effects. What have you got planned for #3?

I would say to try to use a little less wash less time, and maybe a darker one. It looks like you used a rust-colored one? Go light on rust shades, because they're easily overdone. 

Try to go with a raw umber one, or even a tan colored one if you want to make the tank look dusty.You might even go for a "dust" one on the lower parts, and then a darker one on top?

For only your second tank though, you're definitely on the right track! 

I already checked out your build in the Lend-Lease GB thread Bushi, but let me just say again, your modeling skills are improving with every finished build(even if this is only your second build.)

It's pretty good -- thanks for posting.  A few notes for you: 1) the engine crank you have lying on the engine deck -- it should be omitted as it was only used for radial engined tanks and not the diesel you have in your M10.  Crews wouldn't carry something so extraneous like that.  2) the rack on the hull sides was painted OD -- just curious why you went with the darker color.  This rack held track grouser -- those pieces were meant to be attached to the track if better traction was needed over snow/mud.  Hope these help.
