M26 Dragon Wagon finished pics

I'm currently building one of these in 1/72, and those photos are juat inspirational! Great work!

Nice weatheing and shading on the finish! A really great effort!

Cool stuff!  thnx for posting your pics.  May I make a few suggestions?

1) Don't forget to paint the reflectors at the front upper side corners

2) Is there any reason why both sets of tool holder are bereft of any pioneer tools?

3) the armored windows, when stowed in the lowered positions, were locked almost flush with the side wall.   Yours seem to hang straight down

"Woops", I knew I forgot something!

I think some light fingered germans may have been in the area the night before...
or maybe they were being used and the truck had to leave the area in a hurry.
Actully, I wasn't impressed with the soft detail of the moldings, so I took the tools out, and left it that way, so people would look at it and think "I wonder why the pioneer tools are missing"

Yes they do hang straight down, I didn't realise they locked down when open. (I wish I had these photos when I was doing the build)
Even though, the crew may not lock them in that position every time they are opened... maybe they just threw them open for the photo shoot.

Wonderful job!  This one really DOES look like a real vehicle in the pictures instead of a picture of a well weathered MODEL.

I like it cuz it looks real nice.

Absolutely love it! Shading & weathering, no seams, nice (but not overdone) detail. Love the dirty tires, the strangely (but realistically) colored bumber, the markings look painted on (not like decals someone stuck there).

Very nicely done.

 That's about as real looking as it gets. Great build, weathering and washes.

The subject itself has struck me as being the ugly duckling of tow trucks. You have put down a beautiful build of this vehicle, weathered it in a beleivable fashion and taken excellent photo's . Love your build but will never be a fan of the Dragon wagon itself

The scenic back drops are available from LHS. (they are used by the model railroad guys). I have a few of them, and they do add depth to the photos.

when I built the trailer, it has the option of either being hooked up, or being unhooked (with the legs down), I chose the latter, so it may not actually attach. But I will set up my photo booth, and do some pics with them both together, and try to post them some time this week.
