Wow,

This IS an old thread.

I've just ordered this kit and thought it looked pretty darn sweet.

I've already built the Dragon Panzer IA which was a superb build - this variant looks brilliant.

Has anyone built it yet? Feedback?

Review general concensus seems to be very good.

That's awesome.. I may get that! Big Smile [:D]

As for "micro magic tracks", I've built the Dragon Panzer I Ausf. A with "micromagictrakcs". Really, there's no problems at all. Was my first try with magictracks aswell! Smile [:)]

They've swapped out the ammo trailer for the more common type and the Magic tracks are for sure a welcome addition vs. the on-sprue variety. I've previously built the Maquette version so hadn't really been itching to tackle this one anytime soon but someday will get to it. I've already got a replacement barrel and MK tracks for it so there's not much here in the Premium version to entice me to upgrade. Wink [;)]

Don't give up Karl.

Just the size of the tracks makes me want to suck my thumb in the fetal position.

I was just doing some research on this variant after seeing this post, and I found a picture of one captioned 1942, with camoflage.  http://panzerfaust.ca/ArmourWorkshop/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=24  (middle of the page)  According to Panzer tracts, this tank should be gray (till 18 Feb 1943, to be exact), when colors changed to yellow.  Soooooo, what color would the second color be?  Brown, green?  Other?  I'd hate to use the wrong color.

I've never heard of Premium Edition and Smart Kit in the same box. I wonder what that means?

I still have the original one in my stash...will be interesting to see what they apply the "Premium" treatment to. My guess is probably figures and "Magic" tracks but beyond that it's hard to say what else they would do with it.

You might well be right. Not sure if there's anything they can do to the barrel, maybe put in a metal one, though thats not always the case with smart kits. After reading the review on PMMS i might just stick to the Tristar kit. This Dragon one will probably be about £50, which is a bit much.
