This is the DML pre-zimmed kit, huh? Man, it's a weird thing they did with the zimmerit pattern there on the side panel, where it's canted almost diagonally! I wonder where they got that reference from? I've never seen that pattern before?!

The zimmerit also looks really lightly-applied, IMO. Interesting....

Thanks detailfreak, I appreciate it! Yes, this kit is exactly like the earlier release, except it has a few extra parts with the molded on zim. Oh, and no Magic Track indy links......just the DS tracks. I didn't think the tracks were all that bad really.

Next up. I will concentrate on theDragon SdKfz 234/2 Puma I'm doing for the Achtraden GB. I'm almost done with the assembly, so hopefully I'll finish it up, and start painting by the weekend.

Thank you very much, I appreciate the comment. I agree that the zim is VERY light. I didn't prime the model for fear of covering it up. Not at all like their Tiger I and Tiger II kits with molded zim. As for the zim pattern, I don't know what their source of inspiration was, but overall I liked the kit. Thanks again,

Real cool Nate. I like the camo. I always liked this beast with the schurzen. Sorry you had fits on it.

I too noticed the interesting zimmerit pattern and can't say I've seen it look like that either. I too see no problems with the DS tracks. They would save my sanity for sure.

Nicely done Nate .  I really like the overall effect of the weathering & camo.  looks great.

As for the schurzen, I used super glue to glue the plastic brackets to the back of the steel plates. This works, but it doesn't provide a lot of hold if you apply force to it.......like trying to hang them on the tank! I have a number of Dragon kits with schurzen, and the next one I do, I'll use Gator Glue to apply the brackets. I use this stuff a lot on other PE applications, and I find it has a lot more elasticity than super glues. Maybe I won't lose so many on the next build.

Actually, it was a very enjoyable build other than the problems with the schurzen.

Nice job on this one Nate. The camo scheme is perfect. Gotta agree with you and the others, odd zimm pattern on the sides. I haven't build any of the new Brummbaer's only the old Tamiya kit, this will have to go on the "to build (wreck) list".

Very nice, what are the major differences between kit 6500 and 6596?  I know the early version (6596) has magic track and mid (6500) has ds track.  Are these the only 2 Brummbar Zimmed Offerings?

I do believe you're correct. I'm pretty sure there is no Late version with zimmerit. Not aware of any of the Cyber Hobby kits with zimmerit, though there is an Early sans zimmerit.
