Thanks ps1, a little surprised to see this one resurrect. Yes indeed you will find yourself with the usual DML spares bin candidates when its all said and done. I did the older Premium kit and not the newer Smart Kit, so just want to be clear on that point depending on which one you have in the stash as they are different kits in many ways.

Very nice, I can't wait to start mine. Maybe after the Tamiya Marder III I'm working on. (amazing working on the Tamiya kit, when finised all the trees are completely empty of parts....I'm sure this DML won't be that way...the Tamiya really gives you a feeling of being finished).

Sorry I haven't been around more to see the end of this build, but it came out great. Another high-quality build and WIP to match. These open-top vehicles always take a little longer, but the increased eye candy of the interior always makes it worth it!
Thanks Ed! Your Godzilla reference reminds me of afternoons in the backyard with fire crackers and BB guns! I have a burn scar on my right forearm from one "re-enactment" that involved the attack on Pearl Harbor and the sinking of the Arizona but we don't have to get into the details...suffice to say that molten styrene and an unfortunate gust of wind combined together to leave a "lasting" memory.

A good one to have! Your work is phenonmenal SIr. I f I had all those well done miniatures i would make a Godzilla movie and my fingers are out of sync with my typing as I type this and I am moving my body in dramtic over acted movements!
DM, by older kits I mean the ones I built back in 2002-03...these are the kits I "learned" on and have kept around. The more recent kits, for example all the ones that I've blogged or had published, I still have on hand and have no intention of converting to parts. They may end up on ebay in the future but are still my babies. Tough to part with them but eventually I'm going to have to do something with them as space is always limited.

Man, they look too good to tear up for parts. Sell 'em on Ebay..... they easily look good enough to afford you NEW kits; you know, NEW spare parts and that's without even getting a huge sum like some of the others do.
Heck, there are people that would love to have one of those.

After going to your website and again looking over your work; I just can't imagine where you find the room for all of these. Each one consistently looks as good as the next one, or the last one for that matter.
I can only imagine how super they all look up close in reality.

Steve, thanks for your comments as well! Like you, I'm in awe of the size of the gun on this beast. Definitely wouldn't have wanted to be on the receiving end of those rounds...still amazes me to read the field reports of kills at 3500 meters. This gun was made for the wide-open spaces on the Eastern Front, no question about it.
Bill another outstanding piece of work as always. Still cant get over the size of that gun. I know its the same as what was used on the KT but without a turret wrapped around it you really can see just how big it is. An awesome looking weapon that must have been a nightmare to anyone on the receiving end!

That darn near got me to snort my good morning java all over the key board and monitor. Whew! I have enjoyed following along on this build (as always). An outstanding build sir. The couple of details that I really like are the ammo bins and the travel lock set up. Don't know why exactly but, they sing to me!. Looking forward to watching the Stug IV!

Terry, thanks for your comments as well. 2 months is a long time for me to take with a build but this one had the complexity of the fighting compartment to add to the workload so I don't feel like it took too long...but was definitely ready for it to be done.
